Liverpool is home to more than 100 parks and green spaces, and we asked residents which they love most and why these outdoor spaces matter when the weather improves.

00:00I think Croxtetall Park, right, it's well kept.
00:04A lot of the parks, they're running down now, they're getting run down, you know what I mean.
00:08I'd say Sefton Park because there are toilets available and a couple of cafes available,
00:13which is pretty useful for women like me.
00:17There's cafes, there's a big lake where you can walk around,
00:23you can see all the birds, you can feed the birds.
00:27There's an organisation called Friends of Botanic Gardens
00:31and they do the planting, they keep the weeds down
00:35and when my daughter was little, they even had little rowboats on the bit of a river there.
00:41We have a park in Kirby and it's lovely, it's lovely.
00:47The bins don't get emptied but it's lovely, Gail, know what I mean.
00:51And it's actually well kept, so fair play to the Kirby Council or whoever looks after it.
00:56You know, we're volunteers who ever look after it, fair play to them.
01:00Sefton Park, as long as they're large, they have open spaces, maybe kids' area for families.
01:08We're mainly, yeah, mainly that really, green spaces and ports.
01:12There's like a playground for children and I think it includes everybody really as a community.
01:20Areas where the children can kick a football about.
01:24I mean, my daughter couldn't kick a football to save her life,
01:26but we threw balls and we threw frisbees.
