Two men who filmed themselves shouting antisemitic abuse have been given suspended sentences for their crimes.

00:02Adam Bedoy and Abdelkader Amir Besloob, who are both 21, travelled to a predominantly
00:09Jewish area of the capital to film anti-Semitic content for TikTok on the 7th of May and pleaded
00:16guilty to religiously aggravated intentional harassment at the same court just a few days
00:21later.
00:22Police were called at around 9pm on that day after two men targeted a Jewish man in Clapton,
00:29Common, in Hackney.
00:32Besloob approached the man and started shouting abuse while filming it on a mobile phone, while
00:37Bedoy stood alongside him laughing and also harassed the man.
00:42The pair tried to flee when officers arrived but were later detained.
00:47The CPS and Besloob told police in an interview that he had gone to Stamford Hill area to film
00:53with a fishing rod with the aim of getting a reaction, copying what he had seen in another
00:59video on Instagram.
01:01He said he was expecting hundreds or thousands of people to watch the video and he claimed
01:06he thought the Jewish community would find it funny.
