01:06we're going to talk about the three C's the confidence the consistency and what was the
01:13third one confidence consistency Kendra where you at and the oh that was the biggest part and the cut
01:22that that's all you need to have a celebrity look that's it I'm gonna take KB's this is my model

01:27today y'all get up KB go and walk through the crowd a little bit so having celebrity hair I'm

01:40moving through the light having celebrity hair is not a big deal they're just like us the only thing they
01:46have in motion is the strategy which means they have a makeup artist they got the clothes to go
01:51with it you two can have that same look if you pick a style that's made for you I think
01:57that this
01:57biggest problem is that people want to look like that particular celebrity and that doesn't work for
02:02everybody you have to have a cut that's built for your facial shape for you specifically so once you
02:08have that custom cut and that's the first stop right if the cut is not right that's it you have
02:15to
02:15find the stylist that you trust that can give you a detail detail baby the detail cut that fits you
02:24so I think the important thing is not trying to look like somebody else but get a cut that fits

02:30specifically and run with that because beauty is in all of us right right it's a big misconception
02:36that girls with short hair are not as beautiful as the girls with the long hair but us pixie girls

02:43eating down okay pixies are running things so everybody can wear a short cut that's just a
02:50misconception that it doesn't look good on you because you're too heavy or too this you have to
02:54find the cut that fits you specifically so by show of hands how many women have been afraid to cut

03:00hair nobody who's got the mic how many girls have been afraid to cut their hair for fear that it

03:10them right it will you just have to find the cut that fits your face everybody's facial shape is
03:16different so you don't want to look like kb you want to look like you so don't work so hard

04:23don't know how to maintain it but if you tie it up it's not going nowhere so go out of

04:59people don't don't feel like they look as feminine if they wear short hair but it is you can do

05:03with it you can wear it flat I prefer flat curls spiky you can do a lot with it there's

05:11beautiful with long hair but you can be fly with short hair love it okay

05:52all or can we how can we take the inspiration and be realistic you can't come in looking one way

06:02expect to look like another person it's not realistic and the person that styled that person
06:06is nine times out of ten not me so people come in and they say Edith I want to look

06:12you don't have the same parents your her bone structure her hair texture her density it just
06:18is not going to work you have to be realistic do you have fine texture you can't bring me a
06:22photo of
06:23somebody with dense that's hair it won't go together so what I'm saying is it's okay to emulate
06:29something but you can't get exactly what you see it's impossible but a lot of people just they
06:34leave the salon upset because they want to look like something that they can't look like it's not
06:38possible so just be realistic be true to yourself embrace your own beauty that's what I'm saying

07:30necessarily like it may end up one viral so we're not always happy with the outcome but just have
07:36fun with it just play with it and I agree with you let the stylist be creative because we work

07:53want to know as you're getting older and your hair is starting to thin and you still want to achieve
07:59this pixie cut but on me it's not going to look like Christians because the top of my hair is
08:10thinning
08:11so what would you recommend so I would have to see it we need a consultation I think everything's different
08:20for everybody even like me I'm 53 so I'm menopausic so the way I'm going to show you guys how
08:25to manage your pixie too but the way I have to literally have a velcro wrap in the car in
08:31my purse everywhere I go because I'm flashing so to manage my pixie I got to do more into somebody
08:35that's not flashing but for you you would have to go to your stylist let them give you a consultation
08:40if you're thinning
08:41typically you want to leave more hair in the occipital to cover the thinning right in your crown so it's
08:47just every person is a different case so you just want to be real about your options

09:48if I'm being honest it's not it's not good afro it's okay yeah because the humidity it's short hair has

09:57right so you got to keep it trimmed keep it shaped keep it tied down that's just part of the

10:02when you're natural it's just going to always revert to its natural texture
10:06so some girls come in and hoping to get a pixie without getting a relaxer and it's really hard
10:11some cases yes but most cases no

10:46this is for showers
10:48just getting ready for bed in general hold that baby
10:51then we go to our bell core wrap which is pixie heat
10:55this is my cordless iron to go to y'all
10:59I'm going to give away a few gifts too
11:01then I'm going to tie it up
11:02now KB is curly
11:04so typically what she would do is just go to sleep this way
11:08but if you're flat like me
11:09I would continue to tie it
11:16like so
11:18and this is also what I do to Tiana
11:20so when y'all see her
11:21this is after we have rolled through the sprinter
11:24we tie it down
11:25we get it laid
11:27because the best part of it

13:26I use a wireless iron
13:27it doesn't get too hot
13:28but never curl your hair

13:31if you're not a licensed cosmetologist

13:34put the heat up too high
13:35and you burn the curls out
13:36or you over process your hair
13:38by relaxing it yourself
13:39let the professional do what they do
13:41let them do the chemical
13:42let them do the cut
13:43just leave it to the professional
13:45to do so
13:45but
13:46you can
13:47use
13:49a pencil iron
13:50is what we typically call it
13:51this is pixie heat
13:52where's pixie heat

15:45the curls just won't last

15:51and then it's kind of moisture heat
15:53and it's kind of naturally curly
15:54so what do you suggest
15:55yeah
15:56but you don't want to curl your hair everyday
15:58see I'm the stylist
15:59that's going to tell you
16:00no heat till you come back
16:02for two weeks
16:03because you're going to burn it out
16:04so the best thing to do
16:05is once the curls is gone
16:06just tie it up
16:07and wait till you see your stylist
16:13but you see how thick her hair is
16:15that's what I'm saying about
16:17being your own individual person
16:19when you're looking for
16:20when you take a picture of a celebrity
16:22to a salon
16:23and the celebrity has dense hair

16:28I tried from my room
16:30and I didn't wash my front

17:12that you like
17:13but be realistic about the outcome
17:15you can't expect to look like somebody else
17:17so the reality of it is
17:19you can get celebrity looks
17:20but based on you
17:22your face
17:23your shape
17:23you are the celebrity

17:26they're just like us

17:28don't get all caught up in the glam

17:31because once you get your clothes on
