00:27Welcome to today's game, I hope you're excited as I am.
00:30And now that famous wordsmith, Ali McCruist, will be keen to go off to a good start here, and the
00:35fans will be behind them all the way.
01:16It's a mixture of generations in the stands tonight.
01:20Well-supported clubs, these two of course. Great tradition, fabulous tradition. Big history behind them.
01:26Oh yeah, the referee deciding that should be a free kick.
01:34Made sure he was on his toes.
01:38He demanded the ball in that tackle.
01:42And now Shevchenko.
01:45Crucial tackle.
01:49Zanetti.
01:53They're on.
01:59Good touch.
02:02Shot.
02:03Oh, I think he just lost his composure there.
02:05Well, tell you to me, he just couldn't get enough space.
02:11Cleared upfield.
02:14Stankovic.
02:21Stankovic.
02:24Vivali.
02:26Stankovic.
02:29Gattuso.
02:31Plays it through.
02:33Prespo.
02:34And here's Shevchenko.
02:37Great block.
02:40Zanetti.
02:44Inter Milan have the ball as we continue to wait for the game's first goal.
02:51A good tackle to win the ball.
03:01Seydorf.
03:03Gattuso.
03:05Prespo.
03:08Great scoring shot.
03:10They've taken the lead.
03:12They've taken the lead.
03:18And he heads it into the ground and that's a good goal.
03:20He doesn't hesitate.
03:32This game gets its first goal and it's 1-0 here.
03:38And he's smuggled it away.
03:42Maldini.
03:47Good play.
03:53Curio.
04:00And now Shevchenko lets the ball go.
04:05Stankovic.
04:10Zanetti.
04:13Oh, the back fall very much in charge here.
04:15And here's Shevchenko.
04:21Did well to win it there.
04:25Zanetti.
04:30Stankovic.
04:32Kavali.
04:36The ball goes back into the defence.
04:43And here's Shevchenko.
04:45Good piece of defending there.
04:49Corner given.
05:00Found his man.
05:04Chance for the defender to get the ball upfield.
05:07That's what I've got to go now.
05:10Nicely done.
05:11Solid defending.
05:15Davids.
05:16Gave it away in a bad area.
05:22Well, he may get a card.
05:23Yes, he's going to get a card.
05:25He could be hurt down there.
05:26And the referee pulls out a yellow card as a punishment for the challenge.
05:53Could he keep the ball down, could he?
05:55Are they going to regret that miss, John?
06:00He picked up an injury.
06:02Now he's been substituted.
06:04Now, can he set an attack up with a goal kick?
06:07Inter Milan have the ball.
06:08But they need to keep it if they're to get back into the game.
06:10They're losing 1-0.
06:12They're on.
06:13I think that was a very quick piece of thinking by this guy.
06:17Good position here with the throw.
06:44That's good football.
06:45that's really well constructed there are plenty of defenders there but what can
06:50they do about it it wasn't bad it was nicely done really
06:55posture he wouldn't have let that past him
07:05Zanetti
07:09oh it's a decent tackle good defending yeah nice effective defense there
07:15kills the attack dead
07:19Stan
07:29now then what's going to happen next defenders right at the back of certain
07:34forwards not a good place to lose the ball
07:39the game finally balanced as we approach half time
07:42that is totally unmarked
07:48they're on
07:50that's gone wide he's not happy with the header there
07:54yes he panicked about the adjoin his first shot of the match
08:01now the goal he wants to get this right down the field
08:04that's a good header
08:06Seydorf played forward
08:09now whose ball is this
08:11oh goodness who's going to claim that
08:15that's a good ball
08:19not many goals this half with the score at 1-0
08:22how would you sum up that half alley
08:24well i just hope that injury we saw wasn't too serious
08:27i think that would calm them all down a bit
08:28i'm sure they don't want another
08:33they're on
08:39they're on
08:44it's the airy

09:21it's a match number two
09:25big smoke, tremendous smoke
09:28not much noise in the away end just at the moment
09:37Zanetti
09:45oh good tackle
09:54this is sublime skill they just can't get the ball away
09:58what about that for a piece of football
10:05I always found the goal was the best remedy for free game nerves
10:09no words can adequately do justice to how distraught that keeper must be feeling
10:19oh they're finding goals here, 3-0 the score
10:22but that's a really good place to win it back
10:26Rui Costa
10:31well if he got that on target it would have been interesting
10:34yeah that's only his first miss of the game
10:36he's got to keep mentally strong and he'll be fine
10:45and a nice goal kick from the keeper
10:49Zanetti
10:51dispossessed
10:54yeah he did his job, he's all around his priority is obviously to safeguard his ball
10:58and that's exactly what he did
11:01some distance on the throw
11:03brilliant football, brilliant football
11:14couldn't hold on to it
11:15a bad place to lose the ball
11:17it's all set up for the shot
11:19and the goalkeeper just got there in time
11:22out for a corner then
11:28and that's not at all a good corner
11:30straight to the keeper
11:37now Dini
11:42and he's taking on one defender after another
11:44and that's clearly been won by the defender

13:01yellow
13:01will he shoot?
13:03and there's a lob
13:04which goes over the crossbar
13:06from the expression on his face
13:07I think it was pretty close
13:09well I'm afraid that's his second miss
13:11his confidence is taking a battering already
13:14Zanetti
13:17Davids
13:18that's the way they like to feed the ball into feet
13:21broke them down there
13:23oh he tried to control that
13:25and didn't really get hold of it
13:27well they had a chance there
13:30possession lost
13:31that's the way
13:33blocked the shot
13:41and now
13:43Rui Costa
13:43that's the sort of pass which
13:45could have developed into a scoring opportunity for them
13:49they're on
13:50good play
13:59Crespo
14:01Rui Costa
14:04and it
14:05and it
14:05oh
14:06well that mate just didn't the confidence that Dere from his earlier goal you know John
14:10it's obvious they want to put this game beyond all doubt
14:15long clearance by the goalkeeper
14:17well headed
14:22Crespo
14:24wonderful opportunity
14:25I really think they might look back on that and regret it
