00:01West Midlands Police have launched their Safer Town Summer campaign highlighting work to reduce
00:06violence, tackle antisocial behaviour and prevent crime in town centres until the end of September.
00:12Officers say the initiative will also focus on visible policing,
00:16problem solving and reassuring local communities. Chief Superintendent Paul Joyce says the campaign
00:23is designed to give people a better understanding of the work already taking place and show
00:29officers are listening to local concerns. Police say they want residents to feel informed,
00:35connected and confident their town centres remain safe,
00:39welcoming places with action taken where it matters most.
