00:12Officers from the North Tyneside Neighbourhood Policing Team will work alongside local organisations,
00:18housing providers and North Tyneside Council to reduce crime and strengthen the community.
00:24Priorities include addressing youth antisocial behaviour, drug dealing, violence and weapons-related crime
00:31whilst also focusing on health and quality of life concerns.
00:36Officers will engage with schools, youth services and charities to provide positive opportunities for young people
00:42while conducting targeted patrols and interventions to prevent offending.
00:47The partnership also seeks to disrupt drug networks
00:51and protect vulnerable residents from exploitation through practices such as cuckooing.
00:56Intelligence sharing with partner agencies will be increased,
01:00alongside visits to at-risk addresses and coordinated support with housing services.
01:06Violence reduction is a key aim, particularly concerning knives,
01:11with a mix of proactive patrols, targeted operations, educational programmes and diversion schemes for young people.
