00:02Anthropic said the U.S. Department of Commerce lifted export controls on its Claude Fable 5
00:07and Methos 5 models, ending a standoff with the Trump administration, according to CNBC.
00:14Anthropic had disabled access to the models in mid-June after a government directive cited
00:19national security authorities and required the company to suspend access for foreign nationals.
00:25Fable 5 will return Wednesday to global users on Claude, Claude.ai, and Claude Code.
00:32Anthropic said the model will also be included for up to 50% of weekly usage limits through
00:36July 7th for some paid plans.
00:39The company also restored Mythos 5 access for some U.S. organizations after government approval
00:44and plans to re-enable Fable 5 on major cloud platforms.
