00:00We'll start with this, and in just 7 square meters, a new bathroom and the creation of a
00:06laundry room.
00:07In this video, we optimize the plan and layout for a much better usability.
00:14And here we go, we're back for this bathroom and laundry room renovation.
00:18We arrive through a corridor and find ourselves in an apartment in a condominium.
00:23The bathroom is accessed via this corridor, like this.
00:27There is a slight pinch right away when you arrive from 53 cm.
00:32The obvious lack of privacy since we are on a sliding door imposed on a frame.
00:37So we're going to start by removing our sliding door.
00:41In the bathroom, we're going to start from scratch.
00:43Our sink will disappear because we're going to completely reconfigure it.
00:46We have a large shower, a little bit on a significant step.
00:50We're going to rework all of that as well, using peripheral formwork.
00:53So we're going to remove all the perimeter formwork to make things clean.
00:57And our shower ring along with everything else.
00:59And we're going to move everything to the other side to make a nice, practical reconfiguration.
01:04We have a small column here for the heating pipe network.
01:09A second technical column here.
01:11And a third one right here.
01:13In terms of network connectivity, we're well served and it's quite convenient.
01:17We have a bathroom that is 3.5 square meters.
01:21So we're dealing with something compact and easy to use.
01:24Continuing our journey, we arrive at a room that serves a very small space.
01:29also compact, at 3.5 square meters.
01:34We are trying to understand the history of the place.
01:36We were unable to find out more.
01:37The current owner doesn't know either.
01:39We know it's tiled, but there's no way to take it.
01:42So the idea was to reconfigure it to make it a laundry room.
01:46Given that we have easy technical access here, we can rework it properly.
01:51And since we are dealing with a honeycomb partition,
01:55and that we have this part which will be filed,
01:57We take this opportunity to clean and realign everything properly.
01:59because we have a problem with the squareness.
02:01The kerage is right here, since the column, the partition anyway, is not completely there.
02:05So we deposit and acquire a little bit of property to move on to the installations.
02:11So we arrive in this bathroom,
02:13where we will therefore partition off again with the future laundry room.
02:19So we're going to make a partition that's a little less thick than what we had before.
02:31For this bathroom, a proper swing door is also being installed.
02:37For complete isolation and privacy.
02:43So, as Mathieu said, everything will happen in that area.
02:46Indeed, we have two columns here.
02:52So for water drainage, we are going to install a shower tray.
02:56So in that space, we're going to shoot straight,
03:03with here an installation of a full-height partition.
03:12And also a dubbing,
03:16since the proposed container is a serum-based stoneware container,
03:21which is 90 by 135.
03:26Therefore, in any case, we must fill the remaining space.
03:31with a double layer, with pipework running through, because the taps are recessed.
03:36and four niches.
03:38Yes, the owner wanted lots of doghouses.
03:40And here, we have a beautiful tank that fits into this space.
03:48Next to it, we'll have a washbasin, of course.
03:52So we're going to install a tablet.
03:56So, not necessarily for technical reasons,
03:58since we have two columns at the back,
04:00But since the products still needed to be applied,
04:03to still have something a little bit elevated.
04:07Here, we have a space of exactly 1.22m².
04:11And we are going to install a 1.20m washbasin.
04:15So we're going almost all the way to the column.
04:19This washbasin is a countertop, oval, centered basin.
04:25with, just like in the shower, a wall-mounted, recessed tap.
04:33So it's a nice piece of furniture, 86 cm high, with three drawers.
04:37So we have quite a bit of storage space in 1.20m.
04:42Here we have a column that is connected to the heating system.
04:46therefore of the co-ownership.
04:48So we install a towel warmer connected directly to the column.
04:55So here, a vessel of blood will.
04:59In our laundry room, we have a swing door that fits here.
05:08In one of the proposed variations, we have a worktop
05:16which covers the entire length of the property and includes a water point.
05:21So, a small sink.
05:25Below, we placed a washing machine.
05:30So it's a standard worktop.
05:34So, with storage underneath and tall cabinets above.
05:39Here, we have also proposed two columns
05:44that are not attached to the wall,
05:47with a depth of 60 and a width of 40.
05:54So that gives us a nice full-height piece of furniture, 80 cm in total.
05:58Here in the back, we also have a small heater.
06:02within the collective that we are of course maintaining.
06:06We have a nice work surface that is two meters long,
06:11since the entire linear length is two meters.
06:16We didn't place the columns close together to create a passageway.
06:21a use of this angle.
06:23And here, the owner wanted to have an option
06:27to store vertical items such as ironing boards,
06:31Clotheslines, etc.
06:33Tell us in the comments how you would have arranged this space.
06:36Especially after seeing the alternative version of the blandery.
06:40And for those who want more resources on the project,
06:42The link to the full article is in the description.
06:49Regarding lighting and electricity,
06:51We have a spot that is positioned here.
06:55a second one slightly offset here,
06:58in the aligned position,
06:59which responds to the light from the mirror,
07:02and a third, slightly off-center spot.
07:06which allows for good overall lighting.
07:09In our laundry section,
07:13We have a central pendant light.
07:17A mechanical ventilation system has been integrated.
07:21On one side, in the false ceiling passage,
07:23which goes in the correct column,
07:24and a second one on the other side, right here.
07:27Also, a variant was proposed,
07:30a counter-proposal at the end,
07:31since the owner had approved
07:33the one you just saw.
07:35However, we had another possibility
07:38which we found very interesting.
07:42We'll remove our gosling quickly.
07:45reinstall our door.
07:49The idea was to come and add
07:52a work surface spanning the entire two meters,
07:56and a second one on the other side,
07:59with a furnished section upstairs,
08:03for storage.
08:04This allowed for storage across the entire space.
08:06a large work surface,
08:07always our water source,
08:09and that we pushed to the maximum,
08:11which allowed us, in the lower part,
08:14to integrate a swimming pool
08:18and a dryer.
08:22It was quite practical.
08:23It was quite functional.
08:24because for us, there was still
08:26a small loss of space
08:27in terms of optimization,
08:28here, in the alcove,
08:29And it still deserved it.
08:31to talk about it and argue the point.
08:34Now, let's look at the implementation.
08:35what happened.
08:37Once the project has been approved and formatted,
08:39with the right graphic elements,
08:40The construction project is starting.
08:42First, the deposits.
08:43We remove what already exists.
08:45we start from scratch
08:46to start again on a clean and healthy foundation.
08:49Next, the new partition wall was installed.
08:51and the networks are modified or created
08:53to match the new layout.
08:55This is a very important phase.
08:57because before closing,
08:59We check that both spaces are working correctly.
09:01and that the locations are consistent,
09:03and that each element is in its proper place.
09:07The partition assembly is done correctly.
09:09and the false ceiling,
09:10as well as the coatings.
09:11It's taking on a good shape,
09:13Soil treatment is being prepared.
09:16because the age is fixed,
09:17with a few reprises to have
09:18a continuity in the pose.
09:20Everything takes shape with niches, too.
09:24And our tablet is designed
09:25with the access hatches
09:26and essential network access.
09:29Next comes the painting
09:31and the installation of the assembly,
09:32with the preparation of the different elements.
09:35The finishing batches are then produced.
09:37Tiling, finishing strip,
09:39Wood and marble effect.
09:41Then, the equipment is put in place.
09:43The goal is to achieve a neat finish.
09:46and a much more functional space.
