00:50You get in and you can feel the cold on your face, and that first probably 60 seconds it's
00:55you're hyperventilating, but then it just goes numb.

01:03I think it's just the curiosity, you know, particularly as a fisherman, you're always
01:09wondering what's down below because you're looking at it from up above.
01:13And it's actually quite fascinating when you go down, there's trout, and there's eels,
01:18and there's all sorts of bugs swimming around, and invisibilities most days are surprisingly
01:23good.
01:23So, and a platypus.
01:25I saw a platypus.
01:26A platypus?
01:27You saw a platypus?
01:28Yeah.
01:29Mainly night diving.
01:31He saw a platypus and, yeah, he come down and attacked me.
01:34He was doing the territorial thing because it was the waiting season.
01:38So it was, yeah, that was pretty interesting.
01:40Do your friends think you're mad?
01:43I don't have any friends when I want to go ice diving.
01:46They're always busy doing something else.
01:49But, yeah, sure, a few people think it's mad, but, yeah, it's good fun.

02:19Today, although we've had a sneak peek under the ice, there is also heaps to do on the

02:25In fact, thousands of snow bunnies flock to the Australian Alps every winter to snowboard,
02:30ski or even enjoy music festivals.
02:33And as we've discovered today, some, or at least one, also comes prepared with snorkel,
02:41mask, and flippers.
