Srivijaya was a kingdom (some argue as a kadatuan), which once played a great role in the western region of the archipelago. This kingdom was praised as part of the Syailendra Dynasty, and was said to control the strategic Strait of Malacca. However, its history is still shrouded in fog and very little can be revealed.
Several historians have tried to offer new views on Srivijaya, but in any case their views are only an analysis, they cannot be used as the main reference for reconstructing this kingdom. However, this video tries to offer how Sriwijaya should be viewed in history, with a scientific yet easy-to-understand approach.
