00:01:27She developed an early fascination with Lucha Libre culture,

00:01:30as you can see by not only the Tiger Mask-inspired mask,

00:01:35but also the Jushin Thunder Liger overmask that she wore on her way out.

00:01:40She is somebody that at 24 years of age has more than 10 years of in-ring experience,

00:01:45somebody that has grown up in the stardom system of professional wrestling

00:01:50and considers it to not only be her home, but all those athletes, her family.

00:03:17Standing at just 4'11 and 5'1, these two women packed one hell of a punch.

00:03:25Starlight Kid, the standout from Stardom, who holds two victories over our champion, is looking to end a woman who

00:03:31embodies such a hateful spirit.

00:03:34Meanwhile, Tekla has vowed to destroy it all. Then sit back, relax, and watch it all burn.

00:03:47Jusko Okada, not impressed with Tekla. But Tony, in her AEW tenure, Tekla has established herself as one of the

00:03:55most volatile, violent women that has ever competed inside an AEW ring.

00:04:00Well, you got what you see with Tekla. There is no doubt about it. She is, I think she's an

00:04:06angry young lady.

00:04:07And she has, and Walker, it's great to be working with you. It seems to me that she, being Tekla,

00:04:13has turned her attention more to Okada in the start of promotion than she has the athletes.

00:04:18You can certainly say that, and it's a pleasure to be here, Tony, with you, because President Karo Okada, truth

00:04:24be told, has certainly been on the wrong side of Tekla after Okada fired Tekla in April of 2025 for

00:04:31disobeying orders.

00:04:32Multiple attacks on Stardom staff, and even attacks on the President himself.

00:05:09And Tekla, she began competing in Japan in 2018 at the beginning of 2022.

00:05:13She would join Stardom as a full-time roster member, but during her time in Japan, Tekla would spend time

00:05:20training in various Japanese dojos,

00:05:22and she felt that received, she received much harsher treatment, Walker, than her Japanese contemporaries.

00:05:27She felt she was almost singled out.

00:05:28I mean, a lot of people can feel that way as a foreigner, as an international star over in Japan.

00:05:32But, I mean, for Tekla, it runs a little bit deeper.

00:05:34Because Tekla's not running around dressed in, you know, sparkles and wants to do the cutesy idol thing.

00:05:40That is the sort of culture that Tekla has long seeked to destroy in the Joshi women's wrestling scene.

00:05:45And, uh, Tekla is certainly doing a number on Starlight Kid with that in mind.

00:05:49Well, Tekla did a great job after that dropkick by Starlight Kid to go to the floor to rethink things

00:05:55and try to slow her down.

00:05:56No, Tekla, we're gonna attack the mask of Starlight Kid.

00:05:59Yeah.

00:05:59We saw what problems that created for Bandito, Nigel.

00:06:02Against Jon Moxley.

00:06:04Very smart decision for Moxley.

00:06:06But right now, Tekla has just fired up the dynamic Starlight Kid, who has said that she will try to

00:06:13get some revenge.

00:06:14Ooh!

00:06:15And the black sheep for the stardom promotion.

00:06:19Oh, Starlight reverses it.

00:06:20And remember, in their two head-to-head meetings, Starlight Kid was able to defeat Tekla in both of those

00:06:27battles.

00:06:27That's a major reason why she stepped up to defend the honor of stardom, the promotion that she considers her

00:06:34home the only place in professional wrestling that she's ever known.

00:06:38And because of the 2-0, you can see that she seemingly is fighting for the promotion.

00:06:43The revenge you guys talked about is the revenge for Okada, I would think, as much as anything else.

00:06:49Starlight Kid certainly wants to represent stardom as the only stardom-contracted woman to hold AEW gold.

00:06:55She has to be able to prove her ability to do so tonight against an old rival.

00:07:00And Tekla, bouncing the rush to Starlight Kid, dropkick, sends the toxic spider careening to the floor.

00:07:06I'm surprised, I'm surprised that Tekla did that.

00:07:09Almost invited, Starlight Kid in, and Starlight took advantage of it.

00:07:24Tekla well aware of that fact, he's gonna try and keep Starlight Kid as grounded as possible throughout this one.

00:09:43I mean, that's what professional wrestling is bound by in the year of 2026.

00:09:46And Starlight Kid really wanting to represent on a global stage for Okada for the World Wonder Ring.

00:09:51But Tekla's going to make it very difficult here at Scalibur.

00:10:37Could say she's achieved her potential.

00:10:41She certainly has and out to prove it to a woman she has never been able to defeat in her

00:10:48career tonight.
