00:00Zobaczcie się, że nie ma żadnych elektrycznych niż w W.W.E. superstarski.
00:07To musicie.
00:09Plyra.
00:12To swagger o rynku i ruchu do battle.
00:15The roof about to explode here!
00:17An entrance sets the tone for the excitement you're about to witness.
00:21From glass shattering.
00:22To heightened senses.
00:25Today we look back at the most exciting entrances of the 1990's.
00:31This is W.W.E.'s Greatest Moments.
00:36He's your son of a man!
00:38Oh my god, what the hell are you doing?
00:42Absolutely unbelievable!
00:44Oh my god, there's me!
00:52Welcome everyone to W.W.E.'s Greatest Moments.
00:54I'm Michael Cole and on this edition,
00:56we're taking a look back at some of the most adrenaline inducing entrances
01:00during one of the hottest eras in professional wrestling history.
01:04The 1990's.
01:05The entrance is one of the most important elements of a superstar's presentation.
01:10Once that music hits, the crowd gets deafening
01:12and your entire W.W.E. trajectory is off and running.
01:17You heard of this when I got me in an entrance?
01:20Now, I just have one question for you.
01:24Are you ready?
01:26No, I said...
01:28Are you ready?
01:32Perhaps no entrance in history could get audiences to rock out more
01:36than the Hall of Fame group D-Generation X.
01:39DX brought the party wherever they went.
01:44Take it from me, it was a literal rave inside the arena every night.
01:50But it was at SummerSlam 1998 that the leader of the Degenerates, Triple H,
01:54shook Madison Square Garden to its very core.
01:59Are you ready?
02:02That's Chris Warren and the DX band performing live here.
02:06This was a really cool moment because we had not gotten to the era yet
02:10of bands performing before a big match.
02:14It was so super cool to see the guy.
02:17You think you're better than us and he's walking to the...
02:20You better...
02:21Bow to the masters
02:30So loud, people hanging from the rafters.
02:33The reaction was so over the top.
02:37Incredible.
02:38It sounded great.
02:39It's so loud in there.
02:41Like I'm getting tingly just thinking about it.
02:46Been very lucky in my career to have some of the biggest moments
02:50because this one was really special.
02:55One of the most popular stars in professional wrestling is undoubtedly the man called Sting.
03:01The bright face paint, the neon ring attire.
03:04Fans worldwide love Sting.
03:06I have given my blood, my sweat and my tears for WCW.
03:12But over time, the Stinger's appearance changed.
03:15A more mysterious and dark brooding persona began to emerge out of the icon.
03:20The vibrancy was traded in for a plain black and white look.
03:24After lurking in the shadows for a year, we saw the Stinger like we'd never seen him before.
03:29At Starrcade 1997.
03:35You have to go back to the end of the summer of 1996 to remember the last time this man
03:41walked to the ring.
03:42His return to the ring was just a huge event regardless.
03:46But his entrance that night, I'll never forget it.
03:52One man's heart is for you to see.
03:55He burns up, dies, and a dark shadow falls over his soul.
04:01There's like a child's voice and it's like starts off in shadows.
04:05This is Sting.
04:08Me being the face of WCW for so many years, I knew I had to change.
04:14A little bit more cutting edge, a little bit more hardcore.
04:18Wrestling fans wanted to see that.
04:21He just sort of like walks to the ring, but the whole thing feels so weighted.
04:26The dark, brooding, ominous Sting was really the beginning of something that would be a big part of defining his
04:33career moving forward.
04:34There was an aura that night that was in the audience.
04:36It was in the locker room.
04:38It was everywhere.
04:40That's a cold stare is what that is.
04:44He was real excited about it.
04:45I thought it was great.
04:46The crowd reacted incredible.
04:48The presentation that Sting walked out to.
04:50For years, we had bright colors.
04:52All of a sudden, more grimy, more dark.
04:54It was a huge transition.
04:57Just to hear the crowd react, to see the interest that people had, and to hear the buzz all over
05:04the place.
05:04One of the greatest times that I had.
05:11Talking about the greatest entrances of all time, we cannot leave out...
05:15The Phenom!
05:16The Prince of Darkness!
05:17The Immortal Undertaker!
05:20For three decades, the Dead Man's entrance was a sight to behold.
05:24Completely awe-inspiring!
05:27The ominous walk.
05:29The lightning.
05:32The thunder.
05:35Everything about the Phenoms that shows up your spine.
05:38I don't think there's any doubt.
05:40That is the most awesome entrance in history.
05:44It was inside Madison Square Garden where the dead man would make an entrance that would make the dark knight
05:48himself be with pride.
05:55I tried to keep people off guard, like, well, what's he gonna do next?
06:00I had envisioned this entrance where I would descend into the building.
06:07My vision was dragon, demonic-looking, dragon-esque type creature.
06:13You'd think that that's kind of way over the top.
06:16Somehow or another, it worked.
06:18Welcome to the Survivor Series!
06:22And we are going to see an Undertaker like we've never seen before.
06:26Survivor Series 96, hands down, one of my favorite events that I ever attended.
06:32He is the Undertaker, and look at that!
06:35He's descending from above!
06:38Seeing Taker come down like a bat was creepy, but I thought it was cool in a way.
06:43Sending chills up and down the spine of this capacity crowd.
06:49I was really trying to put something out there that people would remember.
06:54Now that's the Undertaker!
06:59Still they come.
07:00You know, this is an intimidating sight.
07:03Dennis Rodman, the worm is here!
07:05There's no question that one of the most influential groups of all time is the New World Order.
07:10Led by Hollywood Hogan, the NWO had a swagger that resonated with audiences everywhere.
07:17Here's the NWO!
07:20The black and white gear.
07:22The pompous attitudes.
07:24The New World Order had that cool factor.
07:26Everyone wanted a piece of the NWO.
07:29Including basketball icons.
07:35The limousine is pulled up here to the United Center!
07:39The home of the world champion, Chicago Bulls.
07:43Tonight is the home of professional wrestling's number one program, Nitro Live!
07:48And oh my goodness, that is an NWO limousine!
07:52The city of champions!
07:54Dennis Rodman, the worm is here!
07:57Just actually one of the coolest entrances of all time.
08:00The single camera shot from the limo all the way through the back to the ring.
08:04What a duo this is!
08:07And they're making their way, apparently, right to the entranceway, right to the ring area here!
08:11They're coming right out here!
08:13I feel like they were like the first guys that was like,
08:16We're going to take over and we're going to do whatever we want.
08:18And we're going to look cool doing it.
08:20Honk Hogan!
08:21Dennis Rodman!
08:23Together, Eric Bischoff in tow!
08:25This super cool brand of bad guys that still sold merchandise and still were cool.
08:31You see the capacity crowd on hand standing!
08:35It's one of those things where people just get hooked on.
08:41One of the most fun things about a WWE entrance is the interaction with the audience.
08:46And no one did that better than...
08:48The Road Dog, Jesse J!
08:50The Badass Billy Gunn!
08:52The tandem known as the New Age Outlaws presented a different style of entrance,
08:56where the crowd was able to play along while the D-O-double-G did his thing on the microphone.
09:01Welcome to the Dog House!
09:05And if you didn't know, your ass better call somebody!
09:16Oh, you didn't know!
09:19Your ass better call somebody!
09:26Oh, you didn't know!
09:28Your ass better call somebody!
09:30This was all stuff we were saying to each other backstage.
09:32We were doing things at this point to entertain ourselves.
09:35It just so happened that it turned into being entertaining for the fans as well.
09:40Every single night we would turn it up to 100 and try to blow the speakers out.
09:44It was like being able to hang out with your best friend and act like a complete idiot.
09:49How much better than that does it get?
09:51Those New Age Outlaws always kick that shears-knit doggy style!
09:58They were raucous.
10:00The crowd was electric.
10:02Everybody in the crowd was standing, and everybody in the crowd was reciting every word I said.
10:07Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages.
10:11Deep Generation X proudly brings to you, it's soon to be, WWF Half Team Champions of the World!
10:22The Road Dog, Jesse James!
10:25The Bad Millie Goods!
10:27The New Age Outlaws!
10:31Me and Road Dog, that's what solidified us as, hey, these guys are here, and we are badass.
10:38And if you're not down with that, we got two words for ya!
10:43Solid!
10:46Still the comp.
10:48You're gonna be here to feel this!
10:50The Prince of Darkness!
10:53We've already seen the eerie presence that The Undertaker makes each time he enters an arena.
10:59Trust me, there's nothing like that feeling of witnessing an Undertaker entrance.
11:04The dead man has risen!
11:07The grand stage of WrestleMania 14 saw one of the most eerie appearances of all time.
11:24You hear the roar of that crowd and the love that they're throwing out.
11:28It was pretty cool, it was a pretty cool feeling.
11:31The Bruits representing the creatures of the night worldwide!
11:35I think what's amazing about Undertaker's entrance is, over the years, being able to add elements to that entrance, like
11:42by adding the Druids, it adds to the legend of The Undertaker.
11:54There was an element of magic at hand.
11:57The Undertaker already playing some mind games with his younger brother.
12:01It was really, really intimidating.
12:04My disbelief was suspended.
12:07And I'm the guy standing in the ring and here he comes.
12:09The Druids, my big robe that I had on, at that point it was one of my bigger entrances.
12:15By God!
12:16What an experience!
12:17The arrival for the dead man!
12:26There's one man in professional wrestling history that can define the word intensity with just one note of his theme
12:32song.
12:34We have never seen a man fight like this!
12:41The myth of Goldberg is legendary.
12:43This man literally walked through fire on his way to spearing the competition.
12:48Do I look like the kind of guy to mess around with?
12:55And one thing was for certain, by the end of the night, everyone would be chanting.
13:01Goldberg!
13:03Goldberg!
13:06As the fans are standing in unison in the most famous chant, the professional wrestling is filling up the MGM
13:14Grand.
13:14When I would watch Goldberg's entrance, it was probably one of the most original entrances that I had seen.
13:23Door would open, security would line up, he would walk right by security.
13:29It made him a star.
13:32You know, this is an intimidating sight.
13:34He stood out in such stark contrast to everything else.
13:38He's just this larger than life, badass force of nature.
13:43Demand is here!
13:45The entrance was captivating by itself.
13:50As Goldberg somewhere lost in that fire!
13:54You always hoped that your entrance would make the biggest splash humanly possible.
14:00But that night, I took it to a completely different level.
14:03There's not a butt on a chair in this place.
14:05All that had kind of a prize fight feel to it.
14:09There's nothing like a Goldberg entrance.
14:13During the late 1990s, Bret the Hitman Hart was in a war with the United States of America.
14:18I've been all over the United States of America, and the one thing that I've in particular look forward to
14:24is leaving it!
14:26As backup, the Hitman recruited his own family to join the cause.
14:29The Hart Foundation.
14:30July 1997, WWE presented In Your House, Canadian Stampede, held in Calgary.
14:37The birthplace of the Hartz.
14:40It's absolutely phenomenal, the popularity for the greatest wrestling family in the game.
14:46Those entrances at Canadian Stampede are insane.
14:49The Hartford Nation make their entrances separately.
14:56This was like the pinnacle, like maybe the greatest moment of triumph to come back to our hometown.
15:02It was like a magical time.
15:08That was probably the largest pop I've ever gotten.
15:16Every entrance, people would get louder.
15:19And I remember the reaction to Owen was really crazy.
15:25I mean, everybody was so happy to be in Calgary, and we were the heroes at home.
15:44It actually hurt my ears.
15:45I remember going, this is the loudest sound I've ever heard in my life.
15:48The building is shaking!
15:50You're gonna be here!
15:51The building!
15:52It gave me goosebumps, and just was such a powerful moment.
15:59There's a celebration for the entire Hart family in the Hart Foundation!
16:08Up next, it's our final two moments on the countdown.
16:11What will take the number one spot?
16:13You've never ever heard an unique spot like this!
16:17Sometimes, all you need to make a lasting impression is a sound.
16:22That lets everyone know who you are, and what you're all about.
16:25And that a tall glass of whoop-ass is about to be served.
16:29I'm talking about none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin.
16:33No champion has ever entered Madison Square Garden with that kind of ovation!
16:38When that glass shattered, you knew that hell was about to be raised.
16:42And with that take-no-prisoner's walk, Austin meant business.
16:46If you want to see Stone Cold, give me a hell yeah!
16:53I'll never forget sitting at ringside on January 4th, 1999,
16:57when mankind was battling the rock for the WWE Championship.
17:01I've been in WWE for almost three decades,
17:04and I've never heard a reaction like when the Texas Rattlesnake made his presence felt.
17:12The WWE Championship is up for grabs!
17:15That guy is locked in the middle of the claw!
17:18Oh!
17:18Mick Foley has his back against the wall, and you think the deck is completely stacked against him.
17:24And there's Billy Gunn!
17:25One of the corporate members came in.
17:27Billy Gunn nailed the hell out of him.
17:29They let it hang for about five seconds.
17:32DX and the corporate team are going at it!
17:39What?!
17:40Oh no, Stone Cold is here!
17:42The place went crazy, and you thought, wow, that was a crazy reaction from the crowd.
17:47Oh no, Stone Cold is here!
17:50As soon as that glass breaks, it's a shot of adrenaline.
17:54The Rattlesnake is here! Look out!
17:56Oh, Stone Cold to the chair!
17:59Don't do it!
18:01It was just like a wave of voices that just wouldn't stop the entire time I was out there.
18:07Every single soul is on their feet!
18:10They lost Stone Cold Steve-O!
18:14It is now time for our number one moment.
18:17And it's one that has been in highlight reels for 30 years.
18:24Shawn Michaels.
18:26The heartbreak kid had it all.
18:28The looks, the athleticism, and the entrance.
18:30What charisma!
18:32What athleticism!
18:33Shawn Michaels!
18:35The one thing is for sure, the heartbreak kid is gonna be kicking it with the click.
18:40But perhaps none of HBK's entrances can top the one at WrestleMania 12.
18:44And if you wanna see a slammin' jammin' entrance, what I've done in the past is nothing
18:49compared to what I'm gonna do tomorrow night.
18:56Introducing first, the heartbreak kid, Shawn Michaels!
19:02There's no Shawn Michaels!
19:04What's going on?
19:06Wait a minute!
19:07Is that who we think it is?
19:09Vince came up to me and was informing me about if this was gonna be my entrance.
19:13And I was like, yeah, okay.
19:15You're like, are you kidding me?
19:17Shawn Michaels, ladies and gentlemen, hold back!
19:21It's just such a cool visual, too, just to see this man, like, parasailing down to the ring.
19:27Unbelievable! What a ride!
19:31Wow, baby!
19:33He's doing a show up there, too, you know?
19:35You know, he's not just holding on terrified.
19:38I remember thinking, there's not a chance in hell they could have talked me into doing that that day.
19:43Certainly in practice, I mean, teams are all like a good idea, and it was a fantastic idea.
19:48He said in the slammin' shots last night, you ain't seen nothing yet!
19:53Little did we know, he meant that!
19:55It was sort of, I felt like my coming out part here.
19:58There's only one!
19:59I think it's Shawn Michaels on now! Look at that!
20:06One thing is for sure, there is indeed only one Shawn Michaels.
20:11Being a part of a WWE entrance and being surrounded by that energy from the crowd is an indescribable feeling.
20:17It not only sets the table for the in-ring performers, but brings you into the show and hooks you
20:22into a live event like no other.
20:24Well, that'll do it for this edition of WWE's Greatest Moments.
20:27I hope you've enjoyed this look back at some of the most memorable entrances from the rocking era of the
20:321990s.
