00:05missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean.
00:10Transport Minister Anthony Lok says the deal with British deep-sea exploration firm Ocean Infinity
00:16will run from July 1st to June 30th next year.
00:22Lok said the extension maintains all the main terms and conditions of the existing agreement,
00:28including the no-fine, no-fee principle.
00:32However, Ocean Infinity will receive US$70 million if the wreckage of MH370 is successfully located.
00:40The firm has carried out searches for the plane up until 2018.
00:44It signed a new deal with the government to resume the hunt last year,
00:49covering an area of 15,000 square kilometers.
00:51The latest extension is aimed at enabling the search of a remaining area
00:56of some 7,428 square kilometers to be fully completed.
