00:01And now we go live to La Guayra, Venezuela, where our correspondent Paula Perez is going
00:05to tell us a bit more about the rescue efforts currently going on.
00:08Let's listen to her.
00:12We'll continue developing through the night for the international rescuers and national
00:20rescuers.
00:21The work requires experience, knowledge, and it's marking the minutes that we can still
00:28get to know the results and the miracles that can happen in the last few hours, the rescues
00:36of children and grown people.
00:38So we are continuing the efforts to keep work doing in the next three hours.
00:49From 11 stories high, the international rescue forces have received signals of life.
00:58And we are going to move on to this place to be able to reach more details about the rescue
01:04that can be enforced in the next few hours.
01:07The work of the rescuers is very throughout and it all depends in the structure of the
01:13building and the structure that are between the rescuer and the victims.
01:20In this case, all survivors have been rescued in the past hours.
01:26The important thing is the community of Latin America and the Caribbean and the work of rescuers
01:31have not stopped.
01:33They are still developing in the state of La Guayra, one of the epicenters most affected
01:38by the earthquakes on June 24.
01:41This is the correspondent Paola Perez from La Guayra State, which is telling us a bit more
01:45about the rescue operations currently going on in the state, that the rescue operations are
01:49still ongoing and there's still a lot of hope that the rescuers can find more people alive
01:57beneath the rubble, even though we are past the supposed necessary first 72 hours after a disaster
02:05hit, even though these 72 hours has passed, let's listen to the correspondence.
02:13The hope of finding more people is still latent.
02:16This hope comes from the rescuers themselves.
02:19We have talked about with them that have, with some of them that have had experiencing these
02:25kind of disasters. We're also going to try to talk with some of them so they can tell us a
02:29bit more
02:30which are the odds in the next few hours.
02:34And this could guarantee the tranquility of the population.
02:36Time is of the essence right now.
02:39And this has been one of the main epicenters
02:45marked by the work of the national government and the national authorities.
02:49It is important to recall that this has allowed the work of the rescuers and it's important to
02:56not get in the way of the rescuers to guarantee the consolidation of these rescue operations.
03:03We have heard about Jose, the 11-year-old child in Los Corales that was rescued from a five-story
03:10building that completely collapsed. The kids stayed there for over 72 hours and from the team of USAR Colombia
03:22was able to be rescued. And this rescue, this shows the brotherhood between the peoples,
03:33the international aspect of this rescue effort.
03:36So to be able to help this South American nation. We will be very
03:44precautious in the next few hours. We will be listening to the work of the medics, nurses,
03:51the Bolivarian Armed Forces, the authorities that have been working in these efforts.
03:57Not only the rescue efforts, but also the
04:03the duty of all these professionals. And the marking marked by the Venezuelan authorities have
04:09progressed in these efforts.
04:14Well, we're seeing images from La Guayra State, where our correspondent Paola Perez currently is
04:19giving us an update on the search and rescue operations going on there. Let's recall that there
04:24have been many international conditions coming to La Guayra, especially since it's one of the most
04:30affected areas by the earthquake that hit the country on June 24th. She was telling us a little bit more
04:37about how not only the rescue efforts have been important in this process, but also the work of
04:43the Venezuelan authorities, the work of the medics.
