00:02A speeding shadow minister now trying to put his foot on the brake.
00:07Arafura MLA Manuel Brown busted with another traffic infringement
00:12days after the NT Independent revealed he'd had his licence suspended
00:17after multiple fines late last year.
00:20Today, the MLA conceding,
00:23I can confirm I have received a further speeding infringement.
00:27There is no excuse for speeding.
00:29I recognise this is a pattern of behaviour that I need to address properly
00:34and I will be undertaking remedial driver training to ensure it does not happen again.
00:40It's unclear if the infringement was disclosed to his boss, Selina Yubo,
00:45who says she's sorry for not making last year's licence suspension public sooner.
00:51He knows he needs to do better.
00:52That's not the standard I expect from him or my team or myself, of course.
00:56So anything like that does deserve to be in the public arena and I do apologise for that.
01:02The infringement's come 17 years after Mr Brown received a conviction for driving without due care,
01:09following a crash which led to the death of a woman in Catherine in 2009.
01:14The driving debacle ends a horror week for NT Labor,
01:18which is also dealing with accusations of workplace misconduct within the opposition leader's office.
01:25Ms Yubo says she still has the backing of her party to continue to lead it.
01:30I've received some very supportive messages this week,
01:33which has been very greatly appreciated from different members of the Labor Party.
01:42Mr Brown was not available for an interview.
01:45For now, the Bush MLA will keep his portfolios,
01:49including as the Shadow Minister for Education and Training.
01:52Mr Brown is a really great academic training.
01:54Mr Brown has been very quite a bit of a representative of the world.
01:55Mr Brown has been very completely
01:55Mr Brown has been very deeplyチャンネル登録 of all the people who want everybody to also
