00:00Also in Venezuela, the state of Falcón was affected by the two earthquakes that occurred last Wednesday.
00:05Our colleague Luis Alberto Mato has more details.
00:09Good afternoon, studios. I'm currently in the state of Falcón in Venezuela,
00:13an area that was also affected by the powerful back-to-back earthquake that struck on June 24.
00:18The place where I'm right now is called Tucaca.
00:20We just drove by Aroa, Boca d'Aroa, and the damage over there in Boca d'Aroa was superficial.
00:26So just in the facade of the building, some bricks fell down, very superficial.
00:31There was one building that had a crack on the side, but they were all standing still.
00:35However, in the place where I'm right now, here in Tucaca, right behind me here on that street,
00:40is a place called, a resort called Mars Suites, which is the most affected area in this part of the
00:47state.
00:47It was a complete collapse. Rescue forces and volunteers are currently down the street working to try to save as
00:53many people as possible.
00:54The authorities have given confirmation that there are victims.
00:57We still don't have a clear number on how many victims there are, but they are trying to work there.
01:02We can see around, you'll be able to see all the people that have come around to support.
01:07People have put tools in this area to bring water, to bring sweets, to bring juice, to bring food,
01:13to help the rescuers and to help the victims.
01:15We have teams of the Red Cross, as also just minutes ago, a team from the Red Cross went in
01:19to provide all the necessary help, as well as a team of volunteers with pig casseks and different tools
01:24to help the rescuers move as quickly as possible through the roblox to save as many lives as possible.
01:30So this is the situation we are right now, here in Tucaca, in the state of Alcónville.
01:34When we have more information, we'll report.
