“I never obsessed on what I wanted to be when I grew up. I only obsessed on what I wanted to do.”

At Fortune Brainstorm Tech, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma said she never focused on chasing a specific title. Instead, she concentrated on being great at whatever job was in front of her—from selling coupon books to taking out trash at the park.

“I just tried to obsess on being great at what I was doing so I could earn the next job,” she said.
