00:00Yeah, that's right. So we were expecting the hot weather, this rare red weather warning we've had with the dangers
00:05of life
00:05to bring us about 50% more activity and that's pretty much what we've seen.
00:09Nearly 8,000 emergency calls were taken in our contact centres across London on Wednesday and on Thursday.
00:16Underneath that, we've seen a rise of about a third in patients who are suffering a cardiac arrest,
00:22so that's where patients' heart has stopped.
00:24We've seen a 50% rise in calls categorised as immediately life-threatening, so they're our Category 1 calls.
00:32We've seen a 600% increase in calls where patients are affected by the heat, you know, so exposure to
00:38heat.
00:38So lots of pressure for our people who have been doing a fantastic job, not only in our call centres,
00:42but out on the streets working in tough conditions too, so big thanks to them.
00:47And we've seen loads more patients who are kind of fainting and feeling unwell too,
00:51so lots of additional pressure for us right across the board.
