01:06At syempre sa mundo po ng pageantry, hindi lang po kababaihan talaga nagpapakita ng kausayan.
01:11Ngayon binibigyan po natin ang pansin hindi lang ang tika,
01:13hindi pati ang layo niya mga kalaking handang mag-represent ng ating bansa sa international state.
01:20At kawaday nga po niya, mga kasama natin ngayong umaga,
01:22ang ilan sa mga nagkikisigan at nagagawa po ang candidates ng Mr. World Philippines.
01:26Gwent Wednesdays kasama ang kanilang general manager na si Sir Ethan Roberto Lazon.
01:31Good morning po. Welcome sa Rising Shine, Pilipinas.
01:33Okay, Sir Ethan, tell us more about the Mr. World Philippines.
01:36Well, actually, Mr. World Philippines was founded by our National Director, Mr. Arnold Begafriya, way back 2018.
01:52And Mr. World is actually originated in London.
01:57Okay.
01:57Ayon, back in 1996 naman po.
02:00So, yung Mr. World is actually focuses on advocacies and charity works dito sa Philippines.
02:08So, as of the moment, we also have 18 official candidates from all over the Philippines.
02:14Okay.
02:15Anong kaibahan ito sa mga Mr. World Philippines for the previous years?
02:19For the previous years.
02:19So, for this year kasi, we started staging na the local pageant,
02:26at the national pageant, I mean, kasi before, usually pinapadala natin abroad is appointed lang siya.
02:34Ayon, okay.
02:35So, appointed lang siya and Mr. World kasi it happens lang every two years, three years, or four years.
02:41Yung last natin is four years siya in the making.
02:43So, that's Kirk Bondad.
02:45So, he was appointed way back 2022, pero nag-competed siya last year lang.
02:50Okay.
02:50So, yun. So, the organization from London decided to make it yearly na rin siya.
02:56So, ito na yung first namin na nag-stage ng national pageant.
03:00Oh, so, full-blown competition nito.
03:02Exciting.
03:03Yes, galim.
03:04And we have some of the candidates here.
03:06Anong nagtulak sa inyo to join Mr. World Philippines?
03:09For me personally, I've been eyeing Mr. World for the longest time ever.
03:13So, and I'm a firm believer of a man being able to excel in more than one facet in their
03:18life.
03:18And then, Mr. World encompasses that.
03:20So, we have many fast-track challenges.
03:23So, first, we have like the beauty with a purpose.
03:25So, basically, that's your advocacy.
03:27We have a fast-track challenge for sports, public speaking.
03:31And I'm just a believer of a man being able to excel in more than one facet.
03:35And I'm happy to showcase that here at Mr. World.

03:44Well, I joined the Mr. World Philippines because of my advocacy.
03:49And of course, from my community, the indigenous people community.
03:53And I wanted to be the voice of them as a leader of the tribe.

04:02So, for me, I wanted to build myself and of course, make myself more of a well-rounded person.
04:08So, I wanted to someday look back and say that, oh, I did something that I've left a legacy, not
04:15only for me, but also for our country.

04:22Oh, ano nagtulog sa'yo to join?
04:24Um, the reason why I joined Mr. World Philippines is because I think it aligns with my values and it's
04:31my calling to join, again, our national pageant.
04:34And, um, Mr. World Philippines is very different from other pageants.
04:39It actually reflects who I am.
04:42And as mentioned by my friend, Aaron, we have different past track challenges and it emphasizes our advocacy.
04:51And I think this platform would be a great, would be a really a great help, great help for us
04:57to showcase our projects, our advocacy.

05:03Yeah, for Aaron and Jaycer, how do you plan to use your platform to inspire young Filipinos in terms of
05:09discipline and leadership?
05:11Sure, I plan to continue using my platform as I am already now.
05:15Um, just by leading by example and just showcasing to our youth that if you work hard, um, trust in
05:23the process and just trust in God, they can achieve anything.
05:27And personally being a national athlete, a model, um, a banker, economics major, I wear many different types of hats.
05:37And I just want to really showcase that if you put your mind into something, they can achieve anything they
05:42want to.
05:42Okay.
05:44Jaycer?
05:45Um, for me, I'm just pushing my advocacy becomes into, uh, the community itself, the IP, uh, the IP, or
05:54in the indigenous community.
05:56And, of course, being a leader is not that easy to, you know, to, um, holding all the, uh, some
06:05other problems of the, uh, our indigenous people.
06:08But, of course, I'm just being, uh, their models or being their voice to have a nice, you know, to,
06:17to fight for them and to, uh, give them a few knowledge, of course,
06:23and sharing the knowledge to other, everyone, and, of course, to the world, if ever I will go in to
06:27win this competition.
06:30Siyempre, sa advocacy naman ninyo, what are you most passionate about?
06:34Oh, yeah.
06:35So, in terms of my advocacy, I'm most passionate about, uh, sports development and youth empowerment, uh, because it's something
06:42that I've personally experienced through volleyball.
06:45So, as a former student athlete, so, um, uh, I wanted to also share to the young young people.
07:09Learn the discipline and also for them to be able to see that they can also grow, learn, and achieve
07:19a better future through sports.
