00:00A group of New Jersey high school seniors just learned the difference between a senior prank
00:04and a police investigation the hard way. Students at Manchester Township High School are accused of
00:08breaking into their school in the early morning hours of June 17th and turning what was supposed
00:13to be a senior prank into a night of vandalism. According to school officials, the students were
00:17allowed to participate in the prank, but ended up far exceeding the guidelines they'd been given.
00:23Photos and videos show toilet paper hanging from the school entrance, hallways filled with balloons
00:27and streamers and a giant got pranked message written outside of the building. There was also
00:32a homemade for sale sign placed in the front of the school. Kind of cute, right? I mean,
00:36it doesn't exactly warrant calling the cops, but authorities say the incident went far beyond
00:40that kind of harmless senior mischief. Students are accused of trashing school property, writing
00:45obscenities on the roof, damaging a pickup truck, and even stealing a lawnmower. Officials even
00:50discovered graffiti, including slurs around the campus. The fallout has been swift. At least one
00:55student has been expelled, several others have been suspended, and multiple seniors were barred from
00:59walking at graduation. At the moment, no criminal charges have been filed, but the investigation is
01:04still ongoing.
