00:00High school pranks are supposed to be relatively harmless, really more annoying than anything else.
00:05But a recent prank in Georgia has left a beloved teacher dead and a student staring down the barrel
00:10of up to 15 years in prison. 18-year-old Jaden Wallace and his pals were tossing toilet paper
00:16rolls at the home of Jason Hughes, a very well-liked teacher at North Hall High School in
00:21Gainesville, Georgia. Now, how this story went from TPing a yard to tragedy is kind of hard to
00:26believe. So Hughes came out of his home to confront the pranksters around 11.40 p.m. last Thursday
00:33night. He tripped and fell into the road just as the student was allegedly driving away in a pickup
00:38truck right over the teacher. Now, Wallace and two other teens participating in the prank stopped
00:43and they provided first aid until emergency first responders arrived and they took Hughes to the
00:49hospital. But there he succumbed to his injuries. Wallace is being charged with first degree vehicular
00:53homicide, reckless driving, criminal trespass and littering on private property. His alleged
00:58co-pranksters, four other 18-year-olds, were also arrested outside of the teacher's home and charged
01:04with criminal trespass and littering.
