00:00Paddle courts could be built on a former hospital car park in Leeds if plans are agreed with the
00:06council. Five outdoor courts are proposed for land at Dolly Lane near St James's University
00:11Hospital in Bermontoffs. Proposals for the site include floodlights, a cafe and other
00:17facilities housed in repurposed shipping containers. Leeds City Council is considering
00:22a full planning application for the scheme, which is designed to meet growing demand for
00:28Paddle facilities. A design report said the facility will be publicly accessible and
00:33operated on a pay-to-play basis, broadening participation across the community. The
00:39planning application is out for consultation until the 13th of July.
