Showtime is teaming up with Viola Davis to star in and executive produce anthology 'First Ladies,' portraying Michelle Obama.

00:14Showtime is teaming up with the How to Get Away with Murder actress to star in and executive
00:17produce the anthology First Ladies. The drama series is currently in development at Lionsgate
00:22TV with an order for three scripts at the premium cable network. The anthology focuses on the
00:26personal and political lives of First Ladies, with season one focused on Eleanor Roosevelt,
00:30Betty Ford, and Michelle Obama. Should First Ladies move to series, it would join a Showtime
00:35scripted roster that also includes The L Word, Billions, The Shy, Ray Donovan, and Shameless,
00:40among others. As for Davis, up next, she can be seen in the final season of ABC's How to Get
00:45Away with Murder when it returns in September.
