05:11She's over there.
05:12Please sit down.
05:15Good morning, Miss Hooley.
05:16Hi, a piece of fun.
05:17Take a seat.
05:18Oh, don't mind if I do.
05:19I'm going to be on my feet for most of the day.
05:21Oh, but a change for you, policing the carnival in the big city.
05:24It's going to be brilliant, helping people find their way about,
05:28giving directions, taking care of lost property.
05:31Oh, that reminds me.
05:32Is this your whistle?
05:33No, I've got mine here, look.
05:37And I'm going to need it, too, for redirecting the traffic and, um, oh, getting people's attention
05:43and all the loud noise and excitement.
05:45Oh, I'm very excited.
05:46I can't wait to join the carnival parade.
05:50Where's Josie?
05:51Oh, she should be here by now.
05:54Perhaps I should go and hurry her up a bit.
05:55Good idea.
05:56I'll see you in a minute, then.
05:57Bye.
05:59So, which coloured house do you think PC Plum will visit first today?
06:09Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
06:15Well, there's part of the story in Balamori asks, which is the house for me?
06:21Is it yellow, is it red, or should we go to the greenhouse instead?
06:27White, orange, blue or pink, or which coloured house do you think?
06:32Blue house, yellow house, orange house or red?
06:38White house, green or pink, or which coloured house do you think?
06:49Which coloured house are we going to?
06:52Tell me, what do you think?
06:55Which coloured house are we going to?
06:58Tell me, what do you think?
07:00It's a yellow house!
07:03Yes, it's a yellow house, because that's where Josie Jump lives.
07:14Good morning, Josie.
07:17Josie!
07:18Hey, PC Plum, what do you think of my carnival costume?
07:22Ta-da!
07:26What are you doing down there?
07:28Oh, I was just, um...
07:30Oh, never mind.
07:32That's an amazing pair of wings you've got there, Josie.
07:35I just want to look fabulous for the carnival parade.
07:38Aren't they fabulous?
07:39They certainly are.
07:40And sparkly.
07:41Definitely.
07:42Do you like the colour?
07:43Oh, I especially like the colour.
07:45Oh, would you look at the time?
07:46Miss Julie's waiting for us in the cafe.
07:47We'd better fly.
07:50Oh, come on.
07:56Oh, turn around.
07:58Try it the other way.
07:59Oh, no.
08:01Oh, what about like this?
08:02Oh, yes.
08:03Oh, no.
08:04Oh, I have to take the wings off.
08:06Come on.
08:06Oh, God's thinking.
08:08Oh, I hope Miss Hooney's in heaven this much trouble with her kind of a costume.
08:12Costume?
08:12Oh, she's not wearing a costume.
08:14She's not wearing a costume?
08:15No, she's just wearing her usual clothes.
08:17Oh, but she has to have a costume to walk in the carnival parade.
08:21Oh, no.
08:22Oh, she'll be so disappointed.
08:24Oh, where on earth will I get a costume for Miss Hooley to wear?
08:28Well, perhaps we can borrow one from somebody.
08:30Hmm.
08:31Oh, maybe we could buy one.
08:33Buy a costume?
08:35I wonder where in Balamori I'd be able to buy a costume for Miss Hooley.
08:38Susie and Penny at the shop?
08:41Yes, of course.
08:42I'll pop over and see Susie and Penny.
08:44Bye.
08:44Bye.
08:45Bye.
08:50I'm Susie Sweet.
08:52I'm Penny Pocket.
08:53We're pleased to help you.
08:56We both run the village shop and cafe.
09:00Hey.
09:01I can tell you things you'd never dream, you'd ever know.
09:07I can count your money up and see how far it goes.
09:16I can do this and I can see that and we both just get along.
09:21I can count these apples and I can tell you where they're from.
09:27I can do this and I can see that and we both, we are good shows.
09:32Susie and Penny in the village shop.
09:38If you're having difficulty counting anything.
09:43Or if you'd like some chat, chat, chat, just give us a read.
09:48If you fancy a treat, just pop along the street.
09:51Come and visit, we'd love to see you.
09:54We know more things between us too.
09:57So if there's anything we come to.
10:03I'm Susie Sweet.
10:05I'm Penny Pocket.
10:06We're pleased to help you.
10:09We both run the village shop and cafe.
10:13Hey.
10:14We have a laugh each day.
10:16In the shop and cafe.
10:19We're hey.
10:26Now, number one on our list for staff training is we have to be more welcoming to the customer.
10:33How?
10:34Smile more.
10:35Smile more.
10:37Hello there, Susie.
10:39It's you again, PC Plum.
10:41Hello there, Penny.
10:42Read the notice, Plumby.
10:43Staff training in progress.
10:46Oh, sorry, sorry.
10:48So, smile more.
10:50Smile more.
10:52I'm smiling.
10:53Staff training over.
10:55What can I do for you, Plumby?
10:57Oh, I need your help, Penny.
10:59Oh, so what's the story in Balamore?
11:01Well, it all started when I stopped into the cafe this morning.
11:07I went to see Miss Hooley because we are going to the carnival on the mainland this afternoon.
11:11I'm going to help out policing the carnival and Miss Hooley and Josie are going to be joining the carnival
11:16parade.
11:18Miss Hooley told me that Josie was late.
11:21So I went round to Josie's house to find out why.
11:24Josie was wearing a brilliant carnival costume.
11:27She looked like a beautiful butterfly.
11:29But the wings on Josie's costume were so big, she couldn't get out of the door.
11:34No wonder she was running late.
11:37Josie told me Miss Hooley should be wearing a costume too.
11:42So that's why I thought of you, Susie and Penny.
11:45Do you have a costume that I can buy for Miss Hooley?
11:47A carnival costume? I don't know.
11:51Well, why don't you tell us exactly what Josie's costume was like?
11:56And then, then we can see what we can do.
12:00Good idea.
12:01OK. Well, Josie's costume was bright and colourful.
12:07Brightly coloured.
12:09And sparkly.
12:10Glitzy.
12:11That's right. And it had, oh, lots of jewels on it.
12:15Sparkly jewels?
12:17Oh, and she had big wings, of course, because Josie was dressed as a butterfly.
12:23Big wings.
12:25Hmm.
12:27What about...
12:30This?
12:32A princess dressing up kit.
12:35There's a tiara and some jewellery.
12:40That's glittery and sparkly.
12:42And here's a ballerina costume.
12:45Now, that's lovely and colourful.
12:48And, oh, there's some lovely sparkly fabric here.
12:53A fairy princess outfit for Miss Hooley.
12:56Brilliant.
12:57Oh, but Josie's costume had big wings as well.
13:02Oh, uh, and a fairy princess needs wings.
13:05That's tough.
13:08Wait a minute.
13:10What if we got some of this fabric and stretched it over some of those hula hoops?
13:15That could make a fine pair of wings.
13:18That's right.
13:20Oh, dear.
13:21We haven't got much time before the fairy leaves for the mainland.
13:23Don't make a fuss, Pissy Plum.
13:26Smile, Susie.
13:28Oh, smile.
13:30Relax, Pissy Plum.
13:32Susie and Penny are here to help.
13:42Wow, you look fabulous.
13:45So do you.
13:46Yes, but I still think there's something missing from your outfit.
13:50Your wings, Miss Hooley.
13:52Oh, thanks.
14:02How does that look?
14:03All right?
14:04I'd say.
14:04A fairy princess fit for a carnival.
14:07Perfect.
14:08Oh, Josie, I found your whistle.
14:10Oh, that's okay.
14:11I've already got one.
14:12Let's go to the fairy.
14:14Bye.
14:15Bye.
14:23Well, hello there, Pissy Plum.
14:25Do you know the way to the carnival?
14:27Oh, of course I do.
14:27Follow me.
14:32There we go.
14:33Thank you very much.
14:34My pleasure.
14:35My pleasure.
14:37My pleasure.
15:04Let's go.
15:42Let's go.
16:12Let's go.
16:12That was brilliant.
16:14It certainly was.
16:15I'm so glad I had my carnival costume.
16:17I felt like a real princess.
16:19Thank you, VZ Plum.
16:20Oh, I couldn't have done it without Susie and Penny.
16:22I'm exhausted.
16:23Let's go home.
16:31So, what was the story in Balamori today?
16:35Well, it all started when PC Plum stopped by the cafe this morning.
16:43He called in to see me because we were going to the carnival with Josie.
16:47Josie was late, so PC Plum went round to her house to find out why.
16:52Josie was wearing a brilliant carnival costume.
16:55She looked like a beautiful butterfly.
16:58But the wings on her costume were so big, she couldn't get out the door.
17:04PC Plum helped, but then he realised I didn't have a costume for the carnival parade.
17:09PC Plum went to the shop to see if Susie and Penny had a costume for me.
17:13Penny found some nice shiny jewellery.
17:16And Susie found a colourful ballerina costume.
17:18Finally, Penny made a pair of wings from some hula-hoops and a bit of spartly fabric.
17:25I love my fairy princess outfit.
17:27And Josie looked great too.
17:30We all had a brilliant time at the carnival.
17:35And that was the story in Balamori.
17:38What a brilliant day.
17:40I'm exhausted.
17:42Oh, I forgot to give this back to Josie.
17:45I'll just leave it here for her.
17:51And I'll see you soon.
17:53Bye.
18:07Balamori, Balamori.
18:09What's the story in Balamori?
