00:00It's just the end of the romantic part, right?
00:02And it's still like romantic. I mean, I still, we still love each other. It's just not,
00:07I don't know, it's a different type of romance. It's like your best friend.
00:11Jenny Mullen opened up about her split from American Pie actor Jason Biggs on the Not Skinny
00:16But Not Fat podcast. Surprisingly, she called the relationship still romantic despite the
00:21Hollywood couple's decision to divorce after 18 years of marriage. Page Six confirmed the
00:25separation last month. However, we heard rumblings for at least nine months before the news broke.
00:30On the pod, Mullen admitted the breakup was surreal and bizarre, but also described their current
00:36relationship as solid and amazing as they continue to co-parent their two sons, Sid, 12, and Laszlo,
00:438. Mullen explained to host Amanda Hurst that the split weirdly feels the same because they're
00:48still tethered as parents and still talk 18 times a day about schedules, school, and holidays.
00:54The Daily Mail previously reported that Biggs' recent weight loss helped boost his ego,
00:59but it also caused a wedge in their marriage. And then there was this viral parenting story.
01:04Earlier this month, Jenny Mullen was called out for posting intimate bed photos with her 12-year-old
01:09son on social media, along with this questionable caption,
01:13Your eldest son will be the most toxic guy you ever date. Amid a wave of backlash,
01:18she deleted the caption on Instagram, but that didn't silence the criticism.
01:22Saw the original post with the original caption,
01:25Super weird, and I have boys the same age. And yes, we hug and cuddle, but that caption was creepy
01:32AF.
01:33I hugged my son. I don't lay groin to groin with him. Weird. Block.
01:38If this was a father with a daughter, this would never fly.
01:41A week later, Mullen is defending herself in a Substack post titled,
01:46The Love That Breaks Us, writing,
01:48Last week the internet called me a child molester for posting a photo of myself holding my son.
01:54The picture was taken on a Monday night after he returned from a weekend away.
01:59The celebrity mom also brushed off the cringy comment as a joke.
02:03The joke that offended people was,
02:06Your eldest son will be the most toxic boyfriend you ever have. And he is.
02:11Parenthood has demanded a level of commitment and self-sacrifice from me that,
02:15in any other context, would be considered pathological.
02:19I'd never accept this kind of relationship under other circumstances.
02:22And yet, here I am, jumping through fire,
02:25constantly striving for affection and approval,
02:28waiting by the phone for a guy who can't even drive.
02:32The comedian claimed that she's been making some version of this joke for over a decade,
02:36but recognized that her humor is not for everyone.
02:39Now, Mullen is doubling down on the creepy bit.
02:42Here's what she said on the podcast.
02:44By the way, if you knew my son, like, he's really the predator.
02:47You know what I mean?
02:48He's the one who's f***ing all over me.
02:50I've been, like, trying to, like, lock him out of the bathroom for, like, the last 12 years.
02:54You know, the bathroom is crazy when you just want to go to the bathroom.
02:56He just wants my undivided.
