DOJ subpoenas for Post and WSJ reporters were issued, then withdrawn. That matters because once prosecutors drag reporters toward a grand jury, sources in D.C. start shutting up fast. The Washington Post says the DOJ moved on the subpoenas, then pulled them back — which raises the obvious question: cleanup, or overreach that got caught? If you think this was harmless, say it. If you think the line got crossed, say that too.
