00:00All right, it's been a while since we've done one of these videos it has so yeah
00:05this is a life update slash Q&A we put a post out in our community a week ago as
00:13well as Instagram and we've got a ton of questions so we're gonna try and get
00:17through them all and we just thought this is a good time to do it because
00:21it's the end of the year it's a bit of a reflection and starting the new year off
00:26fresh we used to do these a lot when we started yeah I don't really know why
00:31actually I kind of know why we stopped we kind of felt like no one cared but it
00:36turns out that some people do and yeah I think it's good to keep people updated
00:41on where we're at yeah I think we go back and forth like in the beginning we
00:46wanted to show absolutely everything we did a podcast everything was behind the
00:50scenes and then we started thinking our people just want to see the actual
00:54travel or the polished stuff and then no one actually cares about us yeah I think
01:01imposter syndrome was a big part of it but yeah we want to be as transparent as
01:06possible and get back to sort of sharing our weird lifestyle yeah weird way of
01:12thinking and connecting a little bit more I think we disconnected a little bit and I
01:16just want to say before we start actually thanks for everyone who has watched
01:21our content and has sent messages and comments and emails we see them all or
01:27most of them and has stuck with us through especially like the last year which
01:32has been kind of chaotic for us but yes the most challenging year probably ever in
01:37our lives yeah ever we've probably seemed pretty all over the place because we have
01:42been but just thank you for everyone for your support we really appreciate it
01:46absolutely we'll get into it then so I'm gonna start with some of the questions
01:53I've got like at least 20 questions to get through so I will do our best all
02:00right first one how is Cambodia going with the recent conflict is it safe for
02:05you and the family so as you may know we're in Cambodia right now and yes it is so
02:10the conflict started literally two days after we got to Cambodia but it was
02:17reported as just being along the border so between Thailand and Cambodia
02:22everywhere else completely fine and it stayed that way for about three weeks and
02:28then now two days ago as a filming maybe three days ago there has been a peace
02:34deal and they've stuck with that so I think everything's all good but like from our
02:39standpoint we've been fine the whole time but people living in the border areas
02:44have obviously been affected and been displaced which has been really sad and
02:48we did make a video about it with the GoFundMe so I'll leave a link to that
02:52below for all the people who've been affected but as a feeling everything's
02:56totally fine next question oh that was from Willow by the way so we can give
03:03people a shout out Daniel what camera equipment do you recommend for a
03:10beginner starting to travel so I'm guessing beginner travel vlogger yeah so we
03:16actually have just started using the insta360 go ultra we've absolutely fallen in
03:24love with this little camera and would totally recommend it for beginners so we
03:29started with the Canon G7 X mark 2 but the only downside with that camera was it
03:35needed a gimbal and also the audio was not good on it so that's what we had
03:42originally started our setup with you can start with anything like even your phone
03:48I wouldn't say you need necessarily need anything to get started other than your
03:52phone but if you did want to invest in a camera something that's like an all
03:56around our camera so the go ultra is awesome we've been loving it for really
04:00cool different point of view shots does have pretty good audio it's got like a
04:07pendant that you can mount it to and go hands-free lots of different things to do
04:12with it it's waterproof it's waterproof we're not trying to sell it either just
04:16we know we've just really really liked it and it's it's just sort of elevated our
04:20content a lot and it's just easy to fit into your pocket so like if you're
04:25someone who's a little bit shy especially when you are a beginner and
04:28you're getting used to filming in public it's good to have something that's more
04:32discreet and so you're not drawing too much attention to you're not as you're
04:38more likely to actually get out and do it yeah very important I was just
04:42listening to something about this while I was at the gym this morning the audio is
04:46super important the video is not as important and if you have a new iPhone
04:50honestly the the video quality is just as good as any camera you can buy but the
04:56audio is not so if you gonna if you're gonna buy anything buy a microphone and
05:01just start with your phone if you want to spend as little money as possible and
05:05don't let the equipment hold you back that's the most important thing yeah so
05:09thanks for that Danielle what are your travel plans for next year and it's
05:16from Merriam I believe Merriam Center Villa Casa hope I didn't butcher that
05:24that's the account name anyway what are your travel plans for next year oh man
05:28this is hard because whenever we state our travel plans it changes and then we
05:34feel like we've been lying or let people down yeah people got excited we kind of
05:40have to look at things like a month at a time because things rapidly change for
05:45us so much like an opportunity will come up and we'll want to jump on it or an
05:51idea a collaboration something like that comes up and we just are able to
05:57quickly change we do have a lot on our plate planned at the moment so you can be
06:03excited about that a lot of places we've never been before but we can't
06:07really exactly say the definitive plan because even since we've said it it's
06:14changed already yep like it always does but we're just we're super flexible and
06:20we're open to being able to go anywhere now like we had quite a few
06:24restrictions before and now we're I mean we can we can do whatever we want
06:29we've got so many ideas we're so excited we've got a collab we've got two
06:33collabs lined up for the first quarter of next year to places we've never been
06:39before and that have been on our bucket list and we're pretty much just waiting
06:42to finalize them and they're pending on a couple of different things but so we
06:48can talk about them once they're finalized and then the second half of the
06:51year we've got a bunch of countries we haven't been to as well that have been on
06:56our bucket list and we're going to spend some downtime in Bali but it's going to be
07:00mostly travel sorry we couldn't answer that more directly yeah where's
07:06somewhere you haven't been that you would love to visit someday I mean there's so
07:10many oh that's from Ellie as well so many we've been to Japan but only for a one
07:17night or maybe it was a two-night layover when Mandy was pregnant yeah I'm super
07:22sick so technically haven't been that's really high up there on the list I think
07:29Greece yep Italy and just Europe in general we haven't been to Europe which
07:34is crazy like I can't believe we haven't been to Europe yet yeah with all that
07:38we've done we're like how have we not been to Europe yet so yeah that's
07:41definitely definitely high on the list we also just met somebody in a pub here in
07:47Phnom Penh that's kind of sold us on Zambia Tony his name was Tony so Tony if
07:53you see this thank you well so we're gonna do a little bit more investigating
07:57into Africa South Africa but yeah he told us he sold us on Zambia sounds like an
08:05South sorry I'm stumbling on my words he's pretty much said it he said it was
08:11cheaper than Cambodia not third world at all the service the hotels everything
08:16was amazing the nature was amazing it's in Central Africa I believe so like the
08:22jungles not like on the beach or anything but yeah he made it sound amazing so
08:26that just like piqued your interest a little bit so yeah next one from Tia
08:35tips with traveling tips for traveling with a one-year-old in Asia you can
08:43probably answer that better but for me no stroller because a lot of places just
08:49aren't stroller friendly which is tough because you do have to carry her around
08:54and chase her around a bit but it's better than lugging a big stroller around
08:59and less bringing less stuff around has been better for us basically yeah less
09:05is best the stress that added stuff like at the beginning I was like I want to
09:11make sure I'm planned out for every sort of like thing that could go wrong but the
09:16thing that was actually causing me stress was having all the stuff yeah we are
09:21very minimalistic already but um we I even downsized more in my luggage with Lila I'm
09:30living out of one carry-on with her we have probably four outfits each between the two
09:38of us and she's got maybe five toys or something like that in a couple books when you're traveling
09:48there's so much stimulation already and things to do and look at that you really don't need very
09:54much so I would just say to pack as lightly as possible um also having lots of snacks yep
10:03Lila loves rice it's crazy absolutely loves plain white rice um so we pretty much just have that on
10:11hand all the time and um the um I actually think I think Asia might be one of the easiest
10:21places to
10:22travel with a toddler because that the locals love babies so much and they look after them
10:28they're so helpful like you actually get to sit down and eat a meal like they'll entertain
10:32your child while you sit and eat your meal it's incredible I couldn't yeah I couldn't recommend
10:39somewhere more than Asia than yeah yeah to come with a one-year-old the only other thing is maybe
10:46having accommodation um preferably where there's like two bedrooms or a spare room so that um if Lila's
10:55up or if your baby's up a bit at night then one of you can go and sleep um yeah
11:01we so we co-sleep
11:02so that might be something that's a little bit different than other parents um so we do sometimes
11:10have like no extra bedroom um yeah having that extra bedroom does help so you can yeah take the
11:17extra naps yeah but we like we don't have an extra bedroom right now and it's fine yes they go
11:23through
11:23stages anyway it's been totally fine traveling through Asia yeah if you're worried about it at all
11:29I just say don't be do it you'll be so grateful that you did very kid friendly you feel super
11:35safe
11:35here um Becca what is your family looking for slash want in choosing a long-term home and then she
11:44says
11:44love you all thank you oh we love you Becca uh what so what are we looking for and what
11:48do we want in
11:49choosing a long-term home um land yeah I mean the dream is to be independent so like self-sustainable
12:02having a big property and land is is the ultimate dream that that really is the ultimate dream for us
12:07I'm not afraid to say that um and being somewhere that has seasons uh we've figured out that that's
12:15pretty important to us as well um and also just being around people that are open to alternative
12:23ways of living um keeping to themselves and to ourselves and just being supportive of other
12:30people's lifestyles even if you don't understand it um yeah I guess those are kind of the biggest
12:36things health conscious uh healthy food is a really we want to be able to grow our own food one
12:42day
12:43we want to be able to make our own clothing um yeah those are big important things to us yeah
12:50and
12:50something that's not um I guess too restrictive I'm just going to say I love America America's like
12:58probably high on our list for places that we would love to live um but whether or not we can
13:03actually
13:03do that we'll see yeah yeah and this would be way down the track but um yeah one day we
13:11would
13:11love to own land in America yeah uh man we're getting through them um from Michelle just as well
13:22Michelle do you get lonely not being around family and friends yeah yeah for sure and especially this
13:29time of year around the holidays um this is our fourth Christmas slash New Year's doing this like
13:36away I think we spent the first one in Bali then we did no sorry the first one in Mexico
13:41then we did
13:43Bali then Thailand and now Cambodia um so this time of year is especially hard but yeah it's probably
13:51one of the biggest challenges of the lifestyle that we live is being away from um family and friends
13:58we do our best to just keep in touch via like FaceTime and um messages with with everybody we
14:05were pretty fortunate um once we had Lila that we're able to catch up with a lot of family and
14:10friends
14:10um but that's kind of the trade-off I suppose yeah I think this is one of the like
14:17chapters that every like entrepreneur goes through is the lonely chapter um I think we're definitely going
14:23through that and we're managing it as best we can uh yeah it does get lonely but you also meet
14:31so many incredible people along the way and have so many incredible experiences that you wouldn't have
14:36if you just stayed doing the same thing in the same place forever so um yeah I guess that's the
14:43yeah the trade-off yeah um someone asked what happened to your group trip to Vietnam it just
14:53disappeared without address we did address it we did many times this is one of those things where
14:58we address something on a video and so we assume everybody knows about it we'll address it on Instagram
15:04or a video and like people might miss you know not everyone's going to watch every video that a lot
15:12of
15:12people won't watch this but this is the point of sitting down and doing Q&As um so what happened
15:18we put it up we advertised it with TrovaTrip and we needed a certain amount of people to sign up
15:25by a certain deadline in order to actually make the trip possible because everything has to be paid
15:32for up front and we didn't reach the amount of people so we couldn't go ahead with it and so
15:38then
15:38we announced that we couldn't do it anymore um looking back like maybe it just it just wasn't
15:45right for us it just wasn't something that we wanted to keep having to advertise either I think
15:50we needed like 12 people to sign up and we we had seven and uh so yeah we tried it
15:57um it would have
15:57been a fun time yeah but a lot of marketing and stuff had to go into it on top of
16:03making the videos and
16:04and that type of thing that we were already doing and I believe we were in the RV we were
16:10traveling
16:10in an RV and dealing with a lot of RV problems at the same time so it's just too much
16:16juggling of
16:17different things um we have a habit of um kind of veering off and trying a lot of other things
16:25that
16:26kind of take away from the channel which we're trying to not do anymore we're just trying really
16:32hard to just focus on making the best videos and traveling as best we can just that one sole thing
16:39because that's what we love doing and that's what we're best at um all these other distractions seem
16:45to always affect our channel our mental health and everything else um not in a good way so our one
16:52of
16:52our goals for this year is to solely focus just on making the best videos we can make and working
16:57on
16:57this growing our channel yeah so that hopefully clears it up yeah also the other one that always
17:04comes up is the the van in mexico it didn't we didn't do that either it didn't work out guys
17:11we
17:11don't have it you can stop asking about it we don't have it yeah we got how many years ago
17:18was that like
17:19four years ago it was three years ago and we we like made a full video about it we did
17:24a podcast about
17:25it we posted about it but people miss content yeah um we don't know how else we can say it
17:30we don't
17:31have the the van um do you mainly travel to warm destinations yeah it kind of just worked out that
17:38way because i mean like in asia everywhere is pretty much warm um and it is it's harder to go
17:45to colder
17:46destinations because you need layering and clothes like in carry-on it's really difficult um it just so
17:53happened that we went when we went to canada it was summer so that was warm uh we've been to
17:59canada
17:59in winter we went to vietnam and it was surprisingly cold yeah that was weird i didn't even know that
18:07vietnam got that cold no it was freezing and we did not have the right clothing for it and yeah
18:12it's
18:13easier to travel to warmer destinations but i do love visiting cold destinations it's just hard or we went
18:19to new york and vegas when it was freezing cold as well yeah but yeah packing light is so much
18:25easier
18:26when you're in a warm destination so that's probably the biggest reason that we stick to warm places
18:31we've got nothing against cold places no i miss it i miss the cold yeah we miss seasons pretty badly
18:38sometimes um but yeah that this is the easiest will you ever travel around australia yes i think we
18:47will for sure we we were going to last year actually um that was one of our plans luckily we
18:53never
18:53announced it yeah we're gonna we're going to do an rv trip around australia and then head to canada
19:01um but we ended up going to canada instead for the summer but for sure i think i think the
19:08problem
19:08is it just doesn't seem exotic to me especially but probably even mandy and when we're in a place
19:15that feels different it's so much easier to create content and that was kind of one of the problems in
19:20canada too like yeah um like cambodia is just there's so much going on it's so different that you
19:27feel like every day you can go out and create content because you feel inspired but when you're
19:32in a place that you're used to it just feels a bit harder so i think that's one of the
19:38things
19:38holding us back yeah the like the magic that we feel and that electric feeling that we get when we
19:45first arrive in a new country is sort of something that triggers the the emotion into the videos that
19:51we make um so yeah going back to a place especially that we have a lot of history in or
19:57memories that
19:59sort of thing it makes it a lot more challenging especially for myself um so but probably over a bit
20:07of time there might be a bit more like nostalgia that we'll be able to incorporate into videos um
20:14um if we do uh australia but yeah we we like going to new places at the moment we we
20:21spent a lot of
20:21time in australia we lived there for seven eight years together and you know lloyd grew up there so
20:27um but it will happen eventually i think i think it'll hit a point where yeah i just feel like
20:33i'm
20:33you ready really inspired to go home and make content there yeah so i don't not sure when that'll be
20:40um and barry asks is there any legal requirements for homeschooling how does that work um we're
20:46obviously a few years off that still with lila um but yeah there are legal requirements depending on
20:53what country you're a resident of so it changes from country to country and it's usually you just
20:59have to register with uh like a proper homeschooling program curriculum or something
21:07um and then some countries you don't have to and then other countries you actually i think you
21:12legally have to go to a state school which is kind of fucked up if you ask me yeah i
21:18don't like that
21:18yeah um for us like we feel like we've already started homeschooling for her because to me the best
21:26way to get good at life is experiencing it and she's already been to six countries and she's
21:31like 14 months old um and i believe that she's progressed and she's doing incredible um yeah we're
21:41we're gonna keep doing it our own way and figuring out what the best way for her is to learn
21:46but um
21:47um yeah yep um okay so we're about halfway through what's the this is from uh david what's the most
21:59surefire hit every time you go there i'm guessing that's talking about like what country or place um
22:05that would probably be bali yeah changu specifically changu and ubud yeah yeah we never have a bad time
22:12there we always feel like we're ourselves there and we feel at peace i think we mentioned that
22:19um in a previous video which is why we're making it our sort of home base we've still got all
22:24our
22:24stuff there so yeah yeah yeah it's got the best yoga best jiu-jitsu we love the um the people
22:33the
22:34energy there is just incredible i always feel like i've been revived after going there so it's just
22:39yeah that's where yeah it hits i know it sounds weird to some people but um vibration is a real
22:46thing and there is a vibration in bali that is different to other places and you feel it when
22:52you're there especially as a young person who's trying to build something uh you feel it in bali and
22:57we feel that every time we go there um have you guys ever got food poisoning during any of your
23:05travels and if so how do you avoid this when you go somewhere new have we yes absolutely in pretty
23:12much every country but we haven't had it here in cambodia no um yeah we've had it yeah we've had
23:20like
23:21mild food poisoning like bali belly which lasts like 24 hours and then we've had like mandy had a
23:26pretty severe parasite really bad parasite in vietnam vietnam which carried over all the way to
23:32mexico it lasted like two months yeah um how we deal with it to be completely honest um
23:41a lot of the times we try and just eat like if we're eating at a market you try and
23:46stick to like
23:47more vegetables than meat that's probably one thing yeah i feel like we've gotten sort of a
23:54if something doesn't pass the vibe check yeah you can sort of tell when you we know now like yeah
23:59and
24:00and and you can see the certain stands that they're not like they're washing their dishes like
24:07in in the bucket of water probably steer clear from those ones um and they get just sticking to the
24:16actual established like restaurants is probably the best go um we've kind of started doing that more
24:23that being said we still eat street food um and there's this different medications that you can
24:31get that help with clearing pet parasites there's natural herbal remedies that are really easy to get
24:36in bali in mexico is really easy to get ivermectin which helps so much for parasites or any sort of
24:44um
24:44stomach virus like that um yeah that was really helpful in mexico yeah yeah you can get medication that um
24:52can get rid of any kind of stomach bug pretty quick wherever you are but maybe we're just getting
24:57better at our stomachs you're getting used to it because it seems to not happen too often and
25:01lila's had one upset stomach yeah she hasn't gotten which lasted one day so yeah we're pretty lucky with
25:10that um how has becoming parents affected your relationship full-time traveling can be quite stressful
25:18uh especially with a small child do you ever argue or have any arguments
25:23etc uh the rest of it's cut off but um how has it affected our relationship full-time traveling
25:29stressful uh we went through a chapter that was really challenging um around the nine month mark
25:38when we were in canada i'll be honest it was probably the hardest point ever uh lila wasn't
25:45sleeping neither were we um we were trying to move to another country a lot was going on with
25:51family problems and our channel and a bunch of different things we've mentioned um in a previous
25:57video um that was a really dark time but like seeing us get through it on the other side and
26:06knowing
26:06that we can go through those tough times brought us closer together and now it just feels like okay
26:12yeah we can get through anything because if we could get through that really hard time we can get
26:18through anything so now whenever we have like a rough travel day or or like anything comes up now
26:25it's just kind of just yeah whatever we've been through worse when it comes to um parenting and that
26:34challenge that comes along with parenting it's just being tired it's sleep really and so
26:39when you are lacking sleep both of you then like little things turn into big things and um that
26:48was even the case when we were traveling really fast before we had lila and it's just like a matter
26:53of
26:53now noticing like okay like we've we're both tired um but we're still on the same team yeah right so
27:01it's not me me versus you it's me and you versus the problem and i think also recognizing so like
27:10lloyd will recognize when i've hit my limit so he'll tell me you know go get a massage go do
27:15yoga go
27:16have a nap and then i tell him when i'm done he goes to the gym go get some massage
27:22has a nap and then
27:24you know we kind of just watch out for each other because sometimes it's hard to notice it in yourself
27:29when you're pushing it a bit too hard um and yeah traveling on top of that uh adds a whole
27:36nother
27:36level but i feel like the the fast-paced lifestyle that we were living before having her actually
27:43helped prepare us for being parents yeah um and the extreme exhaustion that we had gotten during that
27:51prepared us for being really exhausted with having a baby so uh yeah everything just has kind of felt
27:58like it's led up to us just getting better and better at it yeah being parents hard but it's
28:06but it's the best thing you can do and i think most things that are hot most things that are
28:12good are
28:13also hard if that makes sense so nothing good yeah worth having um what's the ideal vietnam steve says
28:24what's the ideal travel pace for you guys is it slow travel or always moving and why yes slower travel
28:31um like even in cambodia here we intended to stay 30 days and pretty much as soon as we got
28:39here we
28:39were like we can't do this in 30 days we need to slow down and make sure we're like giving
28:44ourselves the
28:45extra days to rest so um but we also have to suss places out before we decide that we're gonna
28:53be
28:53somewhere for a while because if we're in an area that doesn't have like a gym or you can't get
28:58proper
28:59sun or um not access to good food or something like that we don't want to hang around for too
29:05long so um
29:06we don't like to make the decision that we're going to stay somewhere for an extended period of time until
29:12we get there and we're like okay it actually ticks a lot of the boxes that all the needs that
29:16we have
29:17um and then we're like okay yeah we can extend or or we'll we'll move on until we find somewhere
29:23that
29:23we're we're happy with yeah yeah yeah so i mean i'd say slow paced but it's probably still quite fast
29:32paced compared to some other people to on compared to what other people are used to yeah definitely slower
29:37than we used to do we used to literally we'd arrive somewhere we'd film a video we would edit it
29:44the
29:45next day and then we would leave so we'd be somewhere for pretty much like three days and then we
29:49would
29:49move on to the next place and keep filming um we definitely don't do that anymore and yeah like it
29:57depends where we are like if we go to some beach bungalow that has barely any wi-fi or aircon
30:03or amenity
30:04like i can only be there for like four days or something and i got to get out of there
30:07yeah
30:08there's only so much time i can do there whereas like we're in cm reap and it had everything we
30:12needed
30:12we ended up staying three weeks which was probably a little bit longer because we wanted to spend
30:18christmas there but like a place that ticks all the boxes will stay for a long time yeah um
30:31uh thank you for visiting sam reap where i retired almost a year ago at 70. i was wondering if
30:37you
30:38guys have thought about where you might eventually settle down to as a base or is slow travel um
30:44your thing yeah we sort of mentioned it earlier in this video um
30:49um we we are planning on settling down and we we have a vision of what that's going to look
30:55like
30:55but we're not really um making plans for that right now no yeah but given that cm reap like really
31:06surprised us and if you are looking for somewhere as a base that is affordable and has everything like
31:12yoga gyms good food um great people not too busy like it was awesome it really surprised me i think
31:22more people should be looking into cm reap for sure i can totally understand why you would base yourself
31:27there or retire there for sure yeah um
31:33ruth says i noticed that you are carrying lila most of the time is having a stroller just a pain
31:39in the
31:40ass to travel with or is there the some other reason yeah it's just a pain in the ass to
31:45travel
31:45with really and so many streets especially in southeast asia just you can't even use a stroller on
31:51because there's no sidewalk or anything so you barely really even get to use it um which means lugging
31:57it around from like place to place is just yeah it's a pain in the ass and we're driving a
32:02tuk-tuk we
32:02don't have room for a stroller yeah i mean we like you can have a carrier or a backpack but
32:07honestly i've
32:08been finding that um it can be harder for us on our bodies and stuff um but it's better for
32:16her too
32:17like her walking skills have improved so quickly because we're we're just giving her the time
32:24to walk more um rather than trying to go quickly and fast and get plate from a to b as
32:30quickly as we
32:31can uh so she's her walking's just improved immensely from not pushing her in the stroller too much so
32:37um yeah it does make it more challenging and carrying her can be really hard especially when
32:43we were at anchor watt and we were like going up and down stairs and um yeah it got really
32:48exhausting
32:49but uh it's a workout you know it's like carrying a weighted vest with you everywhere
32:58um with bells on 10 hello lloyd and mandy i remember way back
33:03you were creating journals on an etsy store are you still doing them mandy happy new year to you all
33:09no i've stopped doing that like i said i've had so many side quests
33:15um i i loved doing that i also had like after i made that video there was about 20 other
33:22women that
33:22copied and did the exact same concept of what i was doing so i was like okay there's enough
33:28enough enough out there i taught enough people um how to do that and i just didn't have don't have
33:33the time to invest in these side quests anymore so i'm just solely focused on you know i'm back to
33:39editing our videos and our long form vlogs and i'm just trying to get better at that so all my
33:45energy
33:46is just going to this um i hope that people enjoyed the journals and and love them but um there
33:52are
33:52plenty of other ones on etsy now so um i don't think mine are needed yeah we've definitely learned
33:58over the years that focusing on like one or two things and putting all your energy into that
34:04is so much more valuable than trying to do five or six different things at once yeah um
34:11what is the number one advice oh this is from jess what is the number one advice you would give
34:16someone starting their vlogging career even if it isn't about travel what is the most important thing
34:22to keep in mind thank you um most important thing is to make your first video don't plan it for
34:30weeks
34:30or months or whatever hit record and put it out that's the most important thing do it the day that
34:37you
34:37say you're gonna start just do it um start uh and then like it's not gonna be perfect it's gonna
34:44be the
34:44worst video you ever make but the second one's gonna be better and the third one's gonna be better
34:48and then it's gonna get better and better and better um the biggest fear is what people think
34:54once you realize that people don't actually give a like your friends and your family
34:58probably don't even watch it or care or notice maybe you'll get the odd message here and there but
35:04once you get over that that gets a lot easier um i've dealt with this myself because i have a
35:10side
35:10channel that i want to express different um opinions and like things i'm interested in apart
35:18from like this travel vlog channel and i find there's a bit of a block where i doubt myself and
35:24i think i'm going to get negative feedback but you just have to just create them create videos and put
35:31them out there um don't think too much about the technical side at first just start and start putting
35:38stuff out there and once you start then you can um you can watch tutorials on youtube you can do
35:45courses you can like there's so many ways you can learn how to get better and better and get better
35:49with each video but the most important thing is just overcome overcome that hurdle of getting started
35:55and actually doing it yeah and just being your authentic self because it's lame and cliche but no one is
36:03you and that is your superpower and you your point of view is special and unique to you and no
36:11one else
36:11can show that angle or view of the world like you can and leaning lean into like yeah your personality
36:18whatever
36:19that is yeah be weird yeah and you might get negative comments lean into that too yeah we get heaps
36:27uh last question when are you having another baby from oh this is glenn hey glenn yeah glenn's here in
36:35cambodia too uh when are we having another baby i don't know maybe next year no that's not planned yet
36:43um as long as we're traveling like this i can't put my body through that again um that was really
36:53challenging i'm happy i did it but i think next time i would like to just chill and not travel
36:59too
37:00much um yeah i think you can't do it if you're someone who's you know you've got less travel
37:07plans and stuff but uh i've done it already you know i paid my dues i feel like next time
37:14i'm just
37:14going to chill and i'm not going to be moving around a whole lot and i'm just going to enjoy
37:17that
37:18pregnancy and then yeah travel afterwards i think we're just looking at 2026 as a year that we get
37:26to travel with lila because she gets to travel for free which is awesome she gets to fly for free
37:31she gets to uh state hotels for free eat for free so yeah we can take her so many places
37:37and it's
37:39actually not as hard as we thought so we're just going to take advantage of it yeah we want to
37:43soak up this like time that it's just the three of us as much as possible um such a unique
37:50time
37:50and we get to share all these really amazing memories with her and with us as a family which
37:56is so much fun traveling with a kid literally has elevated the experience getting to share it with
38:03like another person and like making little things like you know even breakfast at the buffet this morning
38:09was so nice because she was enjoying the bacon so much and you know just little things like that
38:15that i was like i didn't care as much about the bacon before but now i'm stoked on the bacon
38:19too so
38:20um yeah traveling with kids actually elevates the experience regardless of what other people say i
38:26think it's better than just being a self you know indulgent person you're giving someone else you know
38:33life experience and it's um been really rewarding that's it that's all the questions um thank you
38:40guys do you want to add no i don't think so we're really excited for this year um again thank
38:45you for
38:46supporting us uh if you have other questions or comments or anything fire them down below we've
38:51i'm you know we're going to be working really really hard to bring you guys the most beautiful
38:56valuable videos that we can this year in different parts of the world and we're really excited about
39:02it so we hope you guys get excited too and and the goal just to be clear is to show
39:07everybody that
39:09you can like when we started this channel it was to show people that you could live a life
39:15of freedom um especially like it was during covert you could still travel even though people were saying
39:21that you couldn't and that we could you know we took you guys along our journey of becoming
39:26self-sustainable by making an income online and traveling full-time and now i feel like our mission
39:33is to show you guys that we can keep doing it with a baby with a kid as well like
39:40that doesn't have to
39:41stop us from living this lifestyle as well so that's sort of the ultimate goal as well as sharing
39:46all these cool places along the way yeah thanks so much for watching guys and we will see you in
39:52the next video bye
