00:00This tiny little grain is called quinoa. Quinoa makes a wonderful hot breakfast cereal,
00:06and I thought I'd show you how to use it. And the first thing to do is wash the grains.
00:11So here we have the quinoa all rinsed, and now we can start making our wonderful cereal.
00:19Two cups of milk, which we are going to bring to a boil, and we're going to add the quinoa
00:26to the
00:26milk. So turn this down to a simmer and cook until the quinoa is thick and plump. After 10 minutes,
00:34add one tablespoon of brown sugar and a little bit of cinnamon to taste. Oh, about an eighth of a
00:43teaspoon. Now simmer that eight minutes longer. So now 18 minutes are up, the quinoa is done,
00:50and you can serve it. What a very healthy and delicious breakfast.
