00:00So, Nicolas, the last stage of the Giro is at TT. What do you expect?
00:05I really want to perform at my best here on this time trial.
00:11So, yeah, I'm focused on this stage.
00:17It's a little bit of shame that it's just the last, if the first was better for me.
00:22But no, I'm focused for the TT of the last day, for sure.
00:26We know the TT really fits well on you, you're focused on it.
00:30What do you think about the climb you have to face? Because it's kind of a particular TT.
00:35Yeah, I see the course and I also train and prepare well this type of effort and TT also on
00:46climbs.
00:47It's not crazy climb. It's quite not steep. So, for my quality, I think I can be well also on
00:58this type of parkour.
01:00And, yeah, I'm really looking forward on this day.
01:07So, because the Giro, with that TT, what do you expect?
01:12I think there will be some pretty big changes in the GC and the TT this year, you know.
01:17The Giros always seem to start with a short time trial, but this is quite, you know, 22 kilometres.
01:22It's a long course and also it's a nice split between climbers and pure time trialists,
01:28because they both are going to have the option to shine, you know, with the climbs and the flats.
01:34It's TT time, Lorenzo. What do you expect also in order to look for the GC?
01:39Yeah, the TT is super crucial. It's quite a long one. 22K coming to the last stage of such a
01:46hard week will be challenging.
01:48I usually like this discipline. I'm quite good. But, yeah, we'll see how the legs are.
01:54Ben, what do you think of ending the Giro with a TT?
01:58It's different, for sure. I think when I rode last year, it was, of course, on the first day.
02:03So, I think it creates a few different dynamics. I think a few guys who aren't a TT specialist, maybe,
02:11you know, they see it as a day off.
02:14So, yeah, I think it kind of reduces the number of guys that are going to race tomorrow.
02:18Of course, you've got the GC guys who still need to perform and guys like myself, obviously, it's a time
02:26trial.
02:26So, you've got to try and make the most of it.
02:28Yeah, from a national champs like you, we expect a good performance. Could be the climb, you know, make something
02:36different in order to, you know, face up normal TT.
02:40Yeah, I think it definitely changes the pacing, for sure. I think, especially tomorrow, I think you can kind of
02:48look at the top of the climb as kind of like the first finish line.
02:52You have a long downhill and then it's just an all-out effort to the finish. I mean, anytime I
02:58get on a time trial bike, I'm going to go full gas.
03:00And I think how I've been climbing this week, I was in the breakaway yesterday until the final. So, I
03:07think, yeah, I still fancy my chances.
03:14So, Matisse, what do you think of ending the Giro with a TT?
03:17Yeah, it's really nice, obviously. It's also a long TT, so I think it could suit me well. Yeah, I
03:25think I'm going to give everything the last day, try to win the stage, obviously. So, yeah, going for it.
03:33What do you think of the climbs we see in the TT? The one in the middle and the last
03:38one?
03:39Yeah, it's going to be pretty hard, I think. Also, not the shortest climbs in TT, so it's going to
03:45be special. Yeah, I think it's also going to suit me well.
03:51I'm pretty good in these small climbs in TTs, also in staying in position, so, yeah, I will see.
03:58Davide, how do you deal with ending the Giro with a TT?
04:02Yeah, it was, I mean, at the beginning, it was a goal also for me, also for testing myself. There
04:07are not many TTs during the year, so, yeah, it was a good scenario for it.
04:12And, I mean, I have to check how I will feel the morning, because it's been a pretty tough one.
