00:00Microsoft is lowering the price of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription plan, but
00:05there is a bit of a trade-off.
00:06Future Call of Duty games won't be coming to Game Pass Ultimate on the day they launch
00:11anymore.
00:12Right now, Game Pass Ultimate is dropping to $22.99 per month from $29.99, which is
00:19a 23% decrease.
00:21PC Game Pass is also getting a cut, going from $16.49 down to $13.99 a month.
00:28So yes, we're losing that day one access to new Call of Duty titles, but at the same
00:33time, it's nice to see both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass becoming more affordable.
00:39It also feels like a pretty big shift in strategy.
00:42When Microsoft completed its $75 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard back in 2023, a lot of
00:49people expected Call of Duty to be a major driver for Game Pass growth.
00:53Now, it seems like that approach might not be sustainable in the long run for Xbox, for
00:58Game Pass, or even for Call of Duty itself.
01:01The lower price will probably go down well with most Xbox players, but it does raise the
01:06question.
01:07How do you feel about losing that day one Call of Duty perk?
01:11Call of Duty moving corn lane if you think Mark?
01:11If you need an internet to pay for a full tab, like I call you!
01:11Go and criminalize the details if you can unlock something 500 or $300.99.
