00:04talking about a summer of discontent and almost kind of actively trying to create the circumstances
00:08of that that is petrifying genuinely because summer riots happen really quickly it's very easy
00:16actually and you know we get them it's hot and people are bored and listless and it actually
00:22takes very very little to tip people this is just how human beings work so it's very easy to get
00:27mob behavior in the summer and there was just a massive irresponsibility of trying to wind that up
00:33because it's uncontrollable once you've created more a mob ferment in a place like it's not going
00:38people don't do what you want them to do they behave in a way and people get hurt and damaged
00:42that always happens and if you look at for example one of the most horrifying things I think in our
00:48adult lives has happened in the last two weeks in Belfast we've had in the streets of this country
00:54people being burnt out of their homes because they aren't don't have white skin or they're migrants
01:00or actually for no reason whatsoever and the fear that that is creating and the ripples of effect of
01:06that is we've sort of things that happen in Belfast sometimes people think oh well that's just you know
01:12Northern Ireland which obviously has always driven me around around the twist is like oh it's okay because
01:17it's just Belfast but it is so far from okay and it's wildly irresponsible to start to do that
01:22the other thing that I think that people you may or may not have noticed that there's a bit of
01:27news
01:27yesterday that surprise surprise the people behind the firebombing of Keir Starmer's house it was in
01:33fact it looks like a piece of Russian interference uh that had that was behind the people who did the
01:40firebombing it is so obvious to anybody who's read or thought or known anything or done jobs like I do
01:46have done I take about deep stage and I'm like I'm not a secure crap person but that what happens
01:52is
01:53that our enemies and we do have enemies as a country absolutely love this stuff they pile in
01:58they create discord they create uncertainty they create unrest because of course they do because
02:04they win from that because all of the attention of the state is directed then on to trying to work
02:09out what that is and you have unhappy people who are likely to believe all sorts of stuff who are
02:13likely to be disrupted in their own country is the cheapest and easiest way of weakening a nation
02:19and it works really well
