00:00Dan, after your win at Liege, we expect great things from you today. How are you?
00:05Yeah, I'm good. I also hope to do good things today.
00:09Looking at today, it's the first stage in which, you know, could create more selection in the GC.
00:14What do you think about it?
00:15Yeah, I think it's a hard stage, a lot of meters of climbing, but not super steep climb, so we
00:21will see what it brings today.
00:23What could be the trickiest part?
00:25Oh, I think the first climb in the downhill after is very tricky, so for sure it will split there.
00:32Jack, you recently win the Flash Jordanese, a race that is somewhat similar to today's stage, so what do you
00:39expect?
00:39Yeah, I think it'll be probably a pretty similar race. It's like kind of hilly all day.
00:44Not too steep though, so we'll see how big the bunch is, but I think it should be some good
00:48fun.
00:49What could be the trickiest part of today in order, you know, to make more selection in the GC?
00:54Well, I think it'll be a pretty tactical day, like kind of, it's hard to really say.
00:59It could be like a pretty chill day with the climbs aren't too steep, but also it could be attacks
01:04all day and just really hectic.
01:06So it's kind of, you've got to see what happens and go from there.
01:09Jasper, first Giro for you, how it's going so far?
01:11So far it's been good, not too hard days, but yeah, for sure today it's going to be a tough
01:16one.
01:16Yeah, looking at today, things get serious, more up and downs, a stage that could fit better on you than
01:22the previous one. What do you expect?
01:24Yeah, I expect a big war from the beginning on and I think, I hope we finish good as a
01:28team because we have like all climbers here, so we can do really good in this race, I expect.
01:33Adam, if I remember well, last year you were on a stage that is kind of similar to the one
01:38you were facing.
01:39Yeah, yeah, I think when I looked at the parkour, I was thinking, yeah, that brings back some memories, but
01:45I think it's entirely different circumstances.
01:49You know, there hasn't been a GC day yet, so everyone's quite aware of each other, you know, they haven't
01:53really established a pecking order.
01:55And also it's only day three, so people are quite fresh, but yeah, it's a very open parkour, as I
02:03would say.
02:03It'll be interesting to see how it goes and for sure I'm excited for it.
02:06In order to create more gaps in the GC, which could be the trickiest part that, you know, could make
02:12some selection?
02:15I guess the main climber of the day, 11K is a pretty reasonable percentage.
02:22Yeah, of course there'll be a selection there, but I think then it could really come down to that last
02:27climb with the bonus seconds, it always gets a bit all over the place, I suppose.
02:32But yeah, it's going to be tense, it's going to be exciting and that's, you know, I like when I'm
02:37in a race and you're kind of mentally always have to be switched on.
02:41It's better racing, you know.
02:44Kevin, second Giro for you, what are the first impressions after the two stages?
02:48The first stages have been pretty easy. I think I have tried to save as much energy as possible, because
02:58I know what weights.
03:00Looking at today, things get serious, more up and down, more climbs. What do you expect?
03:04I expect a really tough day, a lot of altitude meters, so yeah, I will try to be in the
03:13front and stay with the other GC guys.
03:17Matteo, with today's stage things get serious, a stage that could fit better on you than the previous one, what
03:23do you expect?
03:23Yeah, for sure, our team is a lot motivated for today. If we arrive in a bunch sprint, we have
03:31Negrent and Melano that are really fast.
03:33And if the race becomes more hard, I will try to stay in front for sure and try to fight
03:41for this GC.
03:42Today is the first of the GC day. What is the part that you think will make, you know, kind
03:49of selection?
03:50Yeah, it's not the hardest stage of this Giro, but for sure it's another stage.
03:55And we will see from the start maybe a big group can go in the breakaway and so we have
04:00to pay attention to this.
04:02Jan, first of all, you're the youngest rider during this Giro. How was the first impact?
04:06Yeah, I think we had two pretty easy stages for the bigger guys. Happy to push a bit more today.
04:15I think it's a warm up stage for the GC guys and yeah, I'm happy about it.
04:19Yeah, looking at today things get more serious. We'd start with the up and downs, with the climbs, what do
04:24you expect?
04:25I think we can expect a group of climbers arriving to the finish, probably 30, 40 guys.
04:31Maybe some moves in the final, but I would say the last 8K are anti-breakaway, so yeah, I think
04:38it's a bigger group.
04:41Oben, a great start of the Giro today and also the yesterday. What do you think about this stage?
04:48What we could expect from you that could be one of the favourites?
04:51Yeah, it's going to be a great start I think today, with a lot of altitude gains and the heat,
04:57so we will see what we can do.
04:59But I think we have a really good team, Kasper in the first stage, so now we are a little
05:04bit relaxed and I think it's going to be a good day.
05:08Looking at the GC, it's the first day in which we can see, you know, a kind of selection. What
05:13could be the trickiest part in order to create these gaps?
05:16I think, yeah, it's going to be a day for the GC guys maybe, or there is a little bit
05:22of some gap, but I think the last guys could be interesting for them.
05:27See you later.
