00:02President Trump is en route to France this morning for a G7 summit, where he will arrive
00:08with that new diplomatic agreement in hand. Security is tight in the French lakeside town
00:14of Evian, where leaders from the world's largest economies are gathering for three
00:18days of talks. The Hotel Royal, overlooking Lake Geneva, will serve as the centerpiece
00:23of the summit. That's where Trump is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron
00:28and other world leaders. The Iran agreement may ease one of the biggest crises facing
00:33the summit, but it does not erase the disagreements between Trump and many of the leaders he's
00:38about to meet. Beyond Iran, leaders are also set to discuss Ukraine, trade, artificial
00:44intelligence, and global supply chains. But this meeting opens with clear disagreements
00:49between Washington and several European allies over the war in Iran, NATO, and U.S. foreign
00:55policy. Protests broke out in Geneva over the weekend ahead of the summit, while Macron spent
01:05Sunday meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in a push to coordinate positions
01:09before leaders sit down together. Trump is expected to hold both group and one-on-one
01:14meetings throughout the week, with the possibility that events in the Middle East could quickly
01:19overtake everything else on the agenda.
