00:06Santos City are at risk of unstable ground. This after the magnitude 7.8 earthquake on Monday,
00:13June 8. The warning comes as scientists identify zones with liquefaction where water-saturated
00:19ground may lose stability under strong shaking. The agency says at least 10 of the city's 26
00:24barangays were classified as high-risk zones. These include Buwayan, Baluan, Lagaw, Gula,
00:31Katanggawan, Tingakan, Batomelong, and parts of City Heights, San Isidro, and Conel.
00:37FIVOC Senior Science Research Specialist Kathleen Papionas says these areas should have structural

00:47The remaining General Santos barangays are under moderate and low-risk categories.
00:52Meantime, Pope Leo XIV offers prayers for the victims of the earthquake.
