00:03Today we are looking at the Sleeping Mat mod, which adds a grass sleeping mat that, well,
00:09you can sleep on.
00:10It sets your spawn point.
00:11I don't know if that's very visible, but when you right-click on it, it'll set your spawn
00:15point.
00:18Of course, as a normal bed would act, it only lets you sleep at night, but you can set the
00:22spawn point any time of day or night.
00:25So you just right-click on one, and that sets your spawn point.
00:27Okay, the craft recipe is made of grass, which is probably no surprise, but you will need
00:36three different types of grass.
00:38So I believe I can do it with dry grass, mirum grass, and jungle grass, but we can also do
00:50it with a few other grasses.
00:52So I believe that's the one I was using.
00:55Or we can use normal grass, or we can use normal grass, dry grass, and mirum grass, or normal
01:01grass, dry grass, and jungle grass.
01:03The idea here basically is it forces you to travel to three different biomes to collect
01:11the grasses required to make the sleeping mat.
01:14Now, of course, a bed, you know, just a standard bed that you would make, you're going to need
01:20wool for.
01:22And wool, of course, you're going to need cotton for.
01:25And cotton means you're going to have to find a jungle, and then pick a bunch of jungle grass,
01:30and then get the cotton seeds from the drops, and then plant the cotton, and wait for the
01:34cotton to grow.
01:34So it can take a lot more time to get wool than it will to just get this in most
01:39cases.
01:40Now, I did notice a small bug.
01:43So, if I look at my inventory here, you will see that I have no sleeping mats in my inventory.
01:52I'll just go ahead and clear these out.
01:54Now, if you dig the sleeping mat from the underside, I get a sleeping mat back.
02:00And if I dig another one, I get a sleeping mat back.
02:04But if you dig it from the upper half, I don't really know why there's a little selection
02:11box here as well, but you can use this one to dig it, and you get nothing.
02:16But if you dig this, you get something.
02:20So I believe this selection box is probably the top half of the sleeping mat.
02:26So basically, don't dig that one, because if you dig this one, you don't get your sleeping
02:30mat back, which confused me at first.
02:32Also, the sleeping mats are non-stackable, which I'm not really sure the reason for.
02:40I'm assuming normal beds can be stacked, but maybe not.
02:44Again, you can only sleep at night, and it works in the normal fashion.
02:54So if we go ahead and set the time to nighttime, I can sleep on the bed, and bada-boom,
03:01bada-bing,
03:01it is morning, and I wake up.
03:04I'm assuming on the back end it's using the beds API, so chances are if it's on a server,
03:10it'll, you know, need a majority of players to be in bed to skip the night, as would beds.
03:18And that's honestly it.
03:20There's really not much to this mod.
03:21It just adds a sleeping mat and recipes to make the sleeping mat.
03:26If you are interested in this mod, it is on the content database, so you can just find it from
03:29the in-game content browser.
