00:00This is the top 10 scary last words from prison inmates.
00:04Starting things off at number 10 we have Robert Elton Harris.
00:07He said you can be a king or a street sweeper but everyone dances with the grim reaper.
00:13He was arrested on July 5, 1978 when his brother hijacked a car with two teenage boys in it.
00:32They ordered them to drive to a remote location where their brothers brutally murdered them
00:37and then they used the vehicle as a getaway car when they robbed a San Diego bank.
00:42Robert Harris was arrested just one hour after the robbery and he was charged with murder
00:46and auto theft, kidnapping, burglary and bank robbery.
00:50One of the arresting officers was the father of one of the murdered boys but he didn't
00:54realize that the victim was his son until later.
00:57He wasn't even able to recognize his sons face, that's how violent the murder was.
01:02Robert Harris was sentenced to death in 1979 after many appeals.
01:06He was finally executed in San Quintin's gas chamber on April 21st, 1992.
01:12Moving up this list with George Engel in at number 9.
01:14He was an anarchist who didn't like to follow any sort of rules or regulations.
01:19He was involved with a lot of activism and protests in the Chicago area.
01:24A protest bombing took place in Haymarket Square in Chicago that resulted in the death of 7 police
01:29officers for civilians and a lot of other people who were seriously injured.
01:34George Engel was actually at home playing cards while this riot broke out and he was
01:39arrested the next day and charged with conspiracy in the bombings.
01:43He was convicted and sentenced to hanging but before he took his last breath, he said hurrah
01:48for anarchy, this is the happiest moment of my life.
01:52Roger Keith Coleman makes his last statement in at number 8.
02:14His case gained nationwide attention and major controversy because he maintained his innocence
02:19the whole time during his conviction and even right before he was executed.
02:24During his final last words, he said, an innocent man is going to be murdered tonight.
02:30When my innocence is proven, I hope Americans will realize the injustice of the death penalty
02:36as all other civilized countries have.
02:39He was convicted in Virginia for assaulting and murdering his sister-in-law on the day that
02:43he has been laid off from work.
02:45After his death, the DNA evidence was re-analyzed and in January 2006, the governor announced that
02:51the testing of the DNA evidence has conclusively proven that he was guilty of the crime.
02:58Ok, that's great and all but why don't you think you should have done a thousand tests
03:03on the DNA before you executed him?
03:05It makes no sense.
03:06What if the DNA evidence proved that he wasn't guilty?
03:09What would the press conference look like then?
03:11Oops!
03:11We made a massive mistake and killed an innocent man.
03:14My bad.
03:15And now I never say-
03:15Yeah, that, that, I mean, I'm personally a guy that is for the death penalty.
03:24I mean, I think there are some scum, some absolute scum that live amongst us.
03:30But I do think that, um, there, there needs to be, and possibly there already is, I don't
03:38know, a, a very rigorous process, um, of making sure this is the right person beforehand.
03:47The fact that they went back later, I think says a lot like that, that shouldn't even be
03:54on the table.
03:55That should have already been squashed before.
03:59Now, granted they were right.
04:01It was the right guy, but why would you have to go back after the fact?
04:08Like that should have already been checked, rechecked, double check, checked by somebody
04:13else, checked by another person all before, you know, the execution.
04:17In my humble opinion.
04:19In my humble opinion.
04:20Y'all let me know if y'all agree with the death penalty.
04:23Um, if you think I'm right, if you think I'm stupid, let me know.
04:27We have Timothy McVay.
04:30He infamously said, I am the master of my fate.
04:33I am the captain of my soul.
04:36If you guys remember, he was the one behind the Oklahoma city bombing, which killed 168
04:41people and injured over 680 others.
04:45This bombing is actually the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in the United States.
05:01His execution date was set for June 11, 2001 and he made a request to have it publicly televised,
05:08but this motion was denied.
05:09He invited a composer to perform classical music on the night of his execution and he
05:15requested to have a Catholic chaplain.
05:18He also requested two pints of mint chocolate chip ice cream as his last meal.
05:22He was executed by lethal injection and his wait to be executed was way shorter than most
05:27inmates waiting on death row.
05:29He only spent about 4 years on death row while most inmates spent an average of 15 years.
05:35The infamous Jeffrey.
05:37That's crazy.
05:40Crazy.
05:41You get the death penalty and you spend 15 years sitting.
05:4615 years.
05:48It takes 15 years to check, double check, recheck, have somebody else check, have another
05:52person check.
05:53It takes 15 years.
05:56I'm sorry.
05:57That's just absolutely ridiculous.
05:58And I, like I said earlier, I'm all for making sure you have the right guy, but the average
06:03being 15 years, I think that's a bit ridiculous.
06:08Um, one, because that's coming out of taxpayers dollars.
06:15Get it done.
06:17Get it done.
06:18Like that, that, that shouldn't be a process that lasts longer than five years.
06:24And even that I feel like is a long time.
06:26Um, now I understand that there's, you know, paperwork and all that kind of stuff, but like
06:31people are so slow, you know, I, I, I think I figured that out, man.
06:37People are so slow.
06:42It's absolutely ridiculous with some of these things that, you know, go on.
06:51Jeffrey Dahmer is next up at number 6.
06:54He was sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms for murdering 17 men and boys in the Milwaukee
06:59area and this is between 1978 and 1991.
07:03He was also heavily into necrophilia and he kept his victims body parts in the freezer
07:08so that he could just eat them later.
07:11The interesting part of this story is that Jeffrey Dahmer wasn't given the death penalty.
07:16His inmate actually beat him to death because he said that Jeffrey Dahmer was a sick and
07:21creepy man.
07:22And yeah, he was.
07:23He used to make this person food look like human body parts and he would cover them in
07:28ketchup to resemble blood.
07:30So according to Jeffrey Dahmer's murderer, his last words were, I don't care if I live
07:35or die, go ahead and kill me.
07:38At number 5 we have Tom Blackjack Ketchum.
07:41He was an outlawed cowboy who murdered someone in 1895.
07:46After that, his gang fled to New Mexico where they committed more robberies before he was
07:50captured during an unsuccessful attempt to rob a train.
07:54He was quickly arrested, put on trial, found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging.
07:59When his execution date arrived, it was the biggest public display in the area because
08:04he was the first person to be hanged for a train robbery in New Mexico.
08:09However, things didn't go as smoothly as they hoped.
08:12Before he was hanged, he said this.
08:14I'll be in hell before you start breakfast boys.
08:18Let her rip.
08:18And right after that he said, the rope completely decapitated him and it is said that his headless
08:24body landed on its feet and stayed standing upright for quite some time.
08:29John Wayne.
08:30What?
08:32What?
08:33Whoa.
08:34Whoa.
08:36Now that is wild.
08:38But, I also did.
08:40I don't remember where I heard it but I heard a story about a guy who I want to say
08:46it was
08:46like the guillotine or something.
08:50i want to say it was the guillotine and he told someone that as long as he was conscious
08:56he was going to blink he was going to blink at them as as long as he could as long
09:04as he was
09:04conscious and aware of what was going on after you know singing and his you know head fell to
09:12the floor and i think the story went he blinked 15 times
09:23i think i think it was 15 so like he was still aware for like 15 seconds which is nuts
09:30it's crazy
09:32crazy crazy crazy crazy and kind of creepy honestly like could you imagine staring at that
09:39oh my goodness oh my goodness wild
09:45and jacy had three famous last words and this comes into number four he kept it short and sweet
09:52when he said kiss my ass i don't know about you guys but i think i would have you know
09:57a lot more
09:58to say from my final words than kiss my ass then again he was a textbook serial killer who didn't
10:04really have any emotions he was known as the killer clown because he used to dress up as
10:09pogo the clown and perform at many charitable events and birthday parties he took the lives
10:14of at least 33 young boys in illinois and he would bury their bodies underneath his home so when he
10:20was convicted of sexual assault in 1968 the police were able to find all of the dead bodies that he
10:26tried to cover up despite a bunch of court being found underneath his own home he maintained his
10:31innocence but he was found guilty in 1980 because there was just so much compelling evidence against him
10:38he was given multiple death penalties and life sentences and finally after being on death row for
10:4514 years he was executed by lethal injection aileen warinos is up next at number three aileen had a
10:53terrible childhood that was full of abuse and abandonment so it's almost no surprise that she went on a
10:59killing rampage that would define her as americas most infamous female serial killer she worked as a
11:05prostitute and she killed seven men that picked her up along the highway aileen said that all of her
11:11murderers were out of self-defense but she was also convicted and sentenced to death for six of the
11:16murders she was executed by lethal injection on october 9 2002 but before she died she said this i just
11:23like to say i'm sailing with the rock and i'll be back like independence day with jesus june the 6th
11:29like
11:30the movie a big mother ship of all i'll be back i don't even know what this even means but
11:35i am
11:36pretty scared and uh june 6 what happens on june 6 carl pan's rank so she said it was self
11:45-defense six
11:46times that's wild and last words makes it onto this list at number two you probably don't recognize his
11:56name but he is actually known as one of the most sadistic american serial killers of all time he
12:02had more than a dozen aliases and no one knew anything about what he has done for years until
12:08he was captured in november 1928 before his death he confessed to killing 21 people and sexually harming
12:14all 1000 males is this real life right now and right before he was hanged he said in my lifetime
12:21i have
12:22murdered 21 human beings i have committed thousands of burglaries robberies larcenies arsons and last
12:29but not least i've committed sodomy on more than 1000 male human beings that is just sickening and
12:35for all those reasons i'm not the least bit sorry for this guy the vampire of dusseldorf falls onto our
12:42list at number one he is known as a vampire because he would occasionally attempt to drink the blood
12:48from his victims wounds while they were still alive but eventually he was arrested and sentenced to
12:54death by beheading because he committed a series of murders and sexual assaults he even admitted to
12:59killing a nine year old girl it is confirmed that he murdered at least nine people but the police
13:04suspected that he brutally murdered a lot more people so one evening before his death he ordered
13:09a wiener schnitzel a bottle of white wine and fried potatoes and the next morning he was taken to
13:15the guillotine to have his head chopped off but before he left this world he made one last scary
13:20statement that probably haunted the people that were at his execution he said tell me after my head
13:27has been chopped off will i still be able to hear at least for a moment the sound of my
13:32own blood gushing
13:33from the stump of my head that would be a pleasure to end all pleasures i mean yeah after hearing
13:40that
13:40i'm definitely gonna have nightmares and if that wasn't enough his mummified head is on display right
13:47now in a wisconsin museum after doctors tried to cut it open to find reasons behind his evil i mean
13:54you
