00:00Dad Space Simulator Pragmata was an unexpected announcement from Capcom when it was first
00:05shown six years ago.
00:06Now, here we are, a few weeks removed from release, and the publishers are already talking
00:10franchise potential following news that the game reached one million sales in two days.
00:15That's according to Rob Dyer, COO of Capcom USA, speaking at the ICON conference in Las
00:20Vegas this week.
00:22As quoted by Gamefile, Dyer says of Pragmata,
00:24we're to a point now where we've got another IP that Capcom, and god bless them, has an arsenal,
00:30that we can continue to go down.
00:31While this is in no way a confirmation that a sequel is in development, this success has
00:35fans like me excited for more.
00:37More importantly, this has to be exciting for the team who worked on the game, who was
00:41made up of a lot of junior developers within Capcom.
00:43The game also saw multiple delays before finally releasing to such a positive response.
00:48Dyer apparently praised the game's Japanese development team for being willing to listen
00:52to feedback from Capcom's American division, taking advantage of focus tests, surveys and
00:57demos to fine-tune the game's global appeal.
00:59After all that time in development, Dyer reckons it was worth the effort, but what do you think?
01:04Are you excited for more Pragmata in the future?
