Actress Jane Perry shares what it was like attending the Game Developers Conference for the very first time. From feeling 'overwhelmed' to gaining a new admiration for the industry, she discusses the massive collaborative effort that goes into making games.

00:00That was my first GDC. And I think like many people who go to GDC, there's a sense of like,
00:05whoa, this is overwhelming. There's so much going on. I'm always taken, you know, because as an actor, you're a
00:12little bit siloed. You're just doing your own little thing.
00:15But I think when we go to these conventions for developers, you begin to realize how many people are employed
00:22in this industry, how important their work is in the industry, how it's this massively collaborative effort.
00:31And I went to some of the panels and talks and I sat there listening to developers talk about what
00:36they do because I'm always keen on learning about that side of it.
00:38And I remember just sitting there thinking, I have no idea what you're talking about, but my God, it sounds
00:44good.
00:46And I just have a lot of admiration for that. The hard, hard work that goes into making any game
00:50is mind blowing to me.
