00:02Texas Longhorns bringing a touch of colour to this year's Farm Fest.
00:08I've gone behind the scenes with the crew at Queensland Country Life
00:11to find out what it's like to cover this major agricultural event.
00:16It's obviously one of the biggest agribusiness exhibitions in Australia.
00:20Great for industry, but I also think it's a great opportunity to chat with producers around the ground
00:26and really get out and about and let people see who is a person and not just a journo
00:31because, yeah, obviously relationships are everything in this industry.
00:34So it's actually my first time here at Farm Fest
00:36and I've been surprised at just how many exhibitors are actually here.
00:39There's everything from machinery to farm products.
00:42Basically anything in the farming world that you can think of, it's here.
00:46And they even throw in some free coffee. Cheers.
00:49Field days in general, they're the kind of thing that are really valuable to us
00:54because look at all the people and look at all the events and all the stories they've got to tell.
00:58I want to get in and talk to them and find out what they are buying and why.
01:02So that's my gig.
01:03Just looking at the variety of stuff that we've got.
01:06We're chasing a few little items and thought they might have some here available.
01:09I'm an ag tech shooter, so I'm big into precision ag
01:12and all the new and exciting developments happening in that space.
01:15The event is organised by ACM Agri and has been running for 51 years.
01:22It generated around 20 storeys for QCL.
01:26Not surprising as a whopping 37,000 people passed through the gates over three days.
01:32See you on the grounds next year.
