00:05brilliant colleague, and I'm really sorry to see him go.
00:08I do know that this Labour government is delivering the biggest increase in funding to our armed forces since the
00:14Cold War.
00:15We're also investing in pay for armed forces, armed forces housing, and alongside that, a range of different defence investments
00:23that will keep our country safe for years into the future,
00:25whether that's through shipbuilding on the Clyde, investment in new typhoons. We've got a really strong track record around investing
00:32in defence.
00:33There's more to do, of course there is, but the number one priority of any government is to keep the
00:37country safe.
