00:00Do you have a Broadway ick?
00:02A Broadway ick?
00:03When people bow in the curtain call in a way where they're like,
00:07you are welcome that I'm here and that I did this.
00:11I'm like, ew, all you did was a musical.
00:14No.
00:14That's a Broadway ick for me.
00:16Okay, fair.
00:17And do you have a Broadway hot take?
00:19A Broadway hot take?
00:21I think that Broadway, it's the nicest group of people in the theater industry.
00:28Are we the carnies of the theater industry?
00:30Yes.
00:31Are we also the nicest?
00:32And fun.
00:33We're fun, I think.
00:33I actually love that.
00:34Okay.
00:36What's your favorite vocal warm-up?
00:38It's really awful.
00:39It's this.
00:40Nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah.
00:42But it's a classic and you need it.
00:44Instant classic.
00:45But it does make people go like, oh.
00:47Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:48And how does it feel to be in a one-woman show?
00:50You know, I wrote it.
00:51It's called Laura Benanti, Nobody Cares.
00:52It's a comedy show.
00:53I'm really proud of it.
00:55I co-wrote the songs with Todd Allman, just an amazing composer.
00:58And getting to just be funny and be a comedian and step into that and step into being a writer
01:03and not waiting for other people to write me something has felt really powerful.
