00:06What does it feel like for you re-experiencing this entire buzz throughout the course of New York City?
00:12You know, it's a beautiful thing, first of all, that the city is so abuzz with this here.
00:18This is something that's really special, and you don't realize what it's all about
00:26until you come into the city and you feel the people, you feel the vibe in the streets and whatnot.
00:33Just walking down the street is a great thing because, you know, this is Nicktown.
00:39I've talked about other teams that were here, the Yankees, the Mets, the Giants, and so forth,
00:46but I always say that whatever the case may be, New York is Nicktown.
00:51When Knicks are doing it, everybody is happy.
00:54There's an infectious energy around the city and also inside the garden as well.
01:00So you've been inside the garden.
01:02Is it comparable to like it was back in 1973?
01:06Well, you know, it's not as many people.
01:11No, but I think, you know, it's like fantastic, you know, right now.
01:17And the energy that is given off not only by the people here and around,
01:25but even by the team in terms of what it is all about.
01:29And we all feel it.
01:30I mean, it's been a long, long time since we've had this type of thing that goes on.
01:36And we tried it in 99, but we didn't make it.
01:40But I think this time, you know, we're looking good.
01:43People feel it.
01:45People are ready for it.
01:46What will it mean to you personally into this city if they're able to do what hasn't been done in
01:5253 years,
01:53and that's bring home a championship?
01:55Well, you know, when you say 53 years, that's a long time.
01:58I don't know if I like to talk about 53 years, but, hey, you know, we're doing it now.
02:06The guys are ready.
02:07The city is ready.
02:09You know, even other cities are ready for this to happen.
02:12And we're going to sit up and see them working out.
02:16Now, we're going to love what's going on because I think everybody wants to win this championship.
