Watch a live demo of the new Spatial Reframing tool in the iPhone Photos app. This feature allows you to interact with a photo to adjust the framing, as if you were repositioning the camera in the original scene, with generative AI filling in the new edges.

00:15Let's take a look at a picture I recently took of my kids.
00:20I love this cute photo of my son and daughter

00:24I wish I'd spent more time thinking about the framing.
00:28When I tap Edit, you'll see a new Tools option
00:32in the lower right.
00:33Here I'll find all the editing features
00:36that use our Apple Intelligence image models
00:38and private cloud compute, including spatial reframing.
00:43Let's tap Reframe.
00:45Once the image loads, you'll see that the UI is super simple.
00:49You can interact with the photo directly
00:51to adjust the framing.
00:53I can touch, drag, and the perspective
00:57shifts, as if I had repositioned the camera

01:02This capability uses on-device spatial models,
01:06so you can preview the effect in real time.
01:09And as you adjust the photo,
01:11you'll see a blur around the edges of the original image,
01:14which will be filled in later by our generative models.
