00:00We have now these visuals of Suvendu Adhikari, the chief minister now of West Bengal,
00:06the first BJP chief minister there, serving jhalmudi with an extra, you know, dash of mustard oil over there
00:13to the prime minister along with other senior ministers.
00:16I believe there's a gnat sound also coming in.
00:18Let's just try and listen in to what that conversation was really about and I'll come back to Ashwarya and
00:22Piyush.
00:47All right there, jhalmudi, which became like a symbol of sorts of how localized the BJP was in the region.
00:55Now Suvendu Adhikari taking a moment and ensuring that he's serving that, turning it himself and mixing it up
01:03and giving it to the prime minister along with other senior members of the NDA.
01:09That's a light moment over there inside Bharat Mandapam.
01:14Let me get a word with Ashwarya and Piyush on that.
01:18Ashwarya, Piyush, thoughts on what's happening inside?
01:21Jhalmudi being served, rather celebrated and enjoyed?
01:28No doubt about it, celebrations are underway and jhalmudi could be the best example of having this conversation
01:35and serving each other a plate of jhalmudi certainly can be seen here.
01:39PM Narendra Modi who was standing there, you know, in Bharat Mandapam's summit hall,
01:45just right outside summit hall, beg your pardon.
01:48There we are now seeing how Suvendu Adhikari, Chief Minister of West Bengal, is standing at this stall.
01:55He is serving jhalmudi to prime minister and that plate of jhalmudi is further being served to other NDA partners.
02:02So we have Chirak Paswan, Sanjay Nishad, Upendra Kushwa, H.D. Kumaraswami, they are the prominent faces of NDA partners.
02:11They are standing there and P.M. Narendra Modi, while he receives Jhalmudi from Suvendu Adhikari,
02:16then further passes on to his ally partner.
02:19So what a great example of camaraderie which can be seen between P.M. Narendra Modi and other partners of
02:25NDA.
02:26Top leaders are already present there and before.
02:28What we are now told is that all this has happened just before the meeting could begin here at Bharat
02:34Mandapam.
02:35And remember that Jhalmuri changed the fate for BJP in the state of West Bengal.
02:40One plate of Jhalmuri was the topic of discussion.
02:43Everybody was just seen having Jhalmuri, BJP workers were celebrating while eating Jhalmuri when BJP crossed the mark of 200
02:52in the state of West Bengal.
02:54Even today it has become a symbol of BJP celebration in the state of West Bengal.
03:00So that is now being replicated here at Bharat Mandapam.
03:03And Prime Minister is in a way is also trying to tell NDA partners,
03:09see we have a great victory in West Bengal and that Jhalmuri, interestingly Sonal,
03:15is being served by Chief Minister of West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari.
03:18So this shows the kind of camaraderie, the kind of equation which is there between NDA partners
03:23and P.M. Narendra Modi was basically taking that Jhalmuri from Suvendu Adhikari
03:28and then was giving it to other NDA partners.
03:30Let me go to Ashwarya as well on this point.
03:34Ashwarya, would you say that one of the biggest wins for Prime Minister Modi at the helm of affairs
03:42with the NDA government has not just been what he has done with governance,
03:47but it has been in the political expansion of the BJP itself under him.
03:56And what we are seeing right now is not just the Prime Minister as the administrator,
04:03but the politician.
04:11Right, Sonal, you know, we have seen the footprint of the Bharatiya Janta Party
04:15increase by almost 100 folds under Prime Minister Narendra Modi
04:18and under the leadership of Prime Minister Amit Shah.
04:21We have seen how one after the other, there have been fortresses.
04:24People used to say that the state of West Bengal is a fortress that the Bharatiya Janta Party
04:28will never be able to reach.
04:30But they have turned this argument on its head
04:32and now you are seeing a sweeping victory for the Bharatiya Janta Party.
04:36The top leaders, in fact, also believe that other states also are within the grasp.
04:41Case in point, the state of Punjab, they believe that the people really want an alternative.
04:45The alternative is not the Congress Party or even the Akali Dal,
04:49the alternative for the people in the state of Punjab is the Bharatiya Janta Party.
04:53What has happened in the state of West Bengal?
04:55BJP was able to sense that, yes, there is a huge vacuum.
04:59People were unhappy with Mamata Banerjee and the kind of promises that were being made.
05:03See, there was a huge difference, Sonal, between the way in which BJP fought the 2021 election
05:07and the way in which they fought the 2026 election.
05:10This was a silent campaign that was being done by the BJP.
05:14Last time, all the leaders were very, very vocal.
05:16They were speaking about Hindutva. This time also, the plank was Hindutva,
05:20but it was a silent campaign that was being done.
05:22You also saw those images of the BJP leaders indulging and eating meat, eating fish.
05:28So the BJP also dispelled the myth that was doing rounds.
05:32You know what the TMC was trying to say, that they will come and they will change the habits of
05:35a normal Bengali.
05:36The BJP said, no, we are not here to do that.
05:39We are here for the development of the state of West Bengal.
05:41So those are the things that we have seen happening under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
05:45And this is what they will be discussing today and a blueprint of how to go into the next cycle
05:50of elections
05:51and how to make sure that, you know, they are able to bring through the bills that they really want
05:56to do.
05:56Those are some of the things that will be discussed in this very crucial meeting.
05:59So, all right, Ashwarya Paliwal and Piyush, thank you both for joining us for the very latest.
06:04I'm sure the pictures will continue and we'll have a lot of more stuff to discuss as the day progresses.
06:08But for now, thank you so much for joining us.
