00:27And Karnal bus attack, what we are given to understand is that two held, the FIR has been registered in
00:34the very case.
00:35Police rule out hate crime in Karnal bus attack.
00:39And the drunken brawl was not just a hate crime.
00:42Police on the bus attack, that's what they've come out to report.
00:45Car has been seized, two accused have been detained so far.
00:48The FIR registered and two held in the stone pelting case is what we are given to understand.
00:53We in fact are also getting information about the police receiving the inputs around 10pm about the altercation near the
01:01Dhaba.
01:01It's a team from Bhutanapolis station, reached the spot, found the bus windows damaged and the occupants of a white
01:08Maruti baleno.
01:11Kamaljeet Sandhu joining me on the broadcast with more details on the same.
01:14Kamaljeet, we are now learning that this entire incident was from, it got triggered from a drunken spat.
01:22Who was this spat between, what exactly unfolded, what are you learning?
01:26Well, there are thousands of vehicles which commute from Delhi to Jammu and in particular Kashmir.
01:31This is a particularly lifeline.
01:33So they do take a stop at the Dhaba's or the restaurants there and this seems to be a case
01:38even in this particular private bus.
01:40Now, what it seems is at late last night, there seems to be an altercation regarding parking is what is
01:46being alleged by Haryana police.
01:48And what is now being told is a version which is coming in from the passengers as well as the
01:53bus driver,
01:54which said they were particularly abused concerning their particular place.
01:59So a Kashmiri being called out as a terrorist, this is a serious allegation coming in.
02:04The other part is where the Haryana police said this was an altercation regarding parking and they were at the
02:11Dhaba.
02:12And it does seem that at least one side of the occupants were drinking at that point of time.
02:17There seems to be an altercation which had been picked up on parking.
02:20Thereafter, a windshield was smashed.
02:22There were stones and bricks which were hurled.
02:25And thereafter, it seemed that there was a compromise between the two parties.
02:29And thereafter, what we know is that as soon as it was recorded by a vlogger, the video went viral.
02:36That's where Omar Abdullah took cognizance.
02:38And then the Haryana police swung into action to have been detained.
02:42They've been called in for questioning.
02:44And thereafter, they were also seeking the statement of the bus driver.
02:48But clearly, this has raised tempers as far as Jammu and Kashmir residents are concerned.
02:53Absolutely. It really triggers much more tensions in this very area, this given point.
02:59Kamilji, thank you for bringing us all of those details.
