00:02Now, this video is a special one dedicated to my personal trainer, Carlo.
00:10And it's my view on the impact that he made on me.
00:30I'm on that black sheep shit.
00:38I've been the ghost in the Sunday pews, the one they point at when they need the truth.
00:43I ain't changing just to make them proud, I'm the thunder rolling through their paper clouds.
00:49They want to shine, they're fake, they are counterfeit, I'm the real deal.
00:55That's black sheep shit, yeah, I'm on that black sheep shit.
01:01I help the flames get lit, they can run their laps, but I don't fit in, and I'm proud of
01:11it.
01:12See, where other trainers would solely go by the books, you know, weightlifting and cardio and all that stuff.
01:21Carlo, sure, he would do that, but he also was a bit different, too, in a way that no other
01:27trainer that I've come across in 27 years has ever been.
01:32See, Carlo actually gave a damn what you wanted to do as the trainee.
01:40Carlo, as the trainer's job, is to help us, the trainee, achieve what our goals are.
01:48And I had gotten a certification in combat instructing, specifically in knife fighting,
01:56and Carlo saw that this would be a great cardio, if not a little unconventional.
02:04And so we kind of reversed the roles a bit.
02:06He let me take over the training role, and I showed him what I learned.
02:13And honestly, I've never met another trainer that was willing to do that.
02:21That meant so much to me.
02:24Even though I haven't seen him since 2024, that impact that he left on me,
02:36as of today, still in 2026, means so much to me.
02:43I look back on those videos, and I think, man, I really, really, really hope that Carlo comes back,
02:51and not only do we continue our sessions, but he continues sessions with other people, too.
02:57Because the world needs trainers like Carlo.
03:02The world needs people like Carlo.
03:04Carlo is one of the best trainers.
03:07And if you are located in Lawrence, Kansas, I highly recommend Carlo.
03:13Now, the good thing is, Carlo is getting recertified and, you know, upping his knowledge to the more modern day.
03:22Like you do when you get certified.
03:23I mean, I have to do that, too, with my certification.
03:27And he said he is coming back.
03:30So I am over the moon with excitement to finally reconnect with not only the person who I saw as
03:40a trainer,
03:40who I looked up to, who was like a safe space to me.
03:45He was like a friend to me.
03:48And I cannot wait to reconnect with him.
