00:00Aisha, I first have to start off with, how's married life treating you?
00:07Oh my God, it's amazing.
00:10Honestly, I love it.
00:12Like everyone says, everyone says when you get married that things feel different and
00:18it's hard for them to articulate and it's hard to understand.
00:20But there is something that happens when you sign that paper that you do just feel almost
00:26like more spiritually bonded or something.
00:28You do just feel so much more bonded.
00:30It feels different.
00:31You feel so part of the same team.
00:33And I think because Scott and I, we're such independent people and I've always traveled
00:39for work.
00:39So we've kind of always lived like our own lives, but like in communication with each other.
00:45And now that we're married, we're like doing joint projects and making more plans together.
00:50And yeah, just behaving as more of a unit, which is really nice.
00:54There were a couple Bravo Lebrides in attendance.
00:58Who partied the hardest at your nuptials?
01:02Oh, Anastasia.
01:04Definitely Anastasia.
01:05Anastasia, the thing that I love about her is it's not even that she drinks heaps or like
01:09goes really hard in that way.
01:11She just, she's such a committed friend that she's like, if this is your day, I'm going to
01:18make sure I put every ounce of energy into, into your day until there's nothing left.
01:24So she was like right up beside me, dancing like her life depended on it right until the
01:30buses came to go home.
01:31This season looks like it's going to be a wild one.
01:36How did you prepare yourself for this latest endeavor?
01:40Um, well, you know, there's not, there's no way that you really can prepare yourself except
01:45for experience and time.
01:48What I love about Belotic and looking back to how much I've, on how much I've grown is
01:53anyone who's out there who is scared to do something or feels like they're not good enough,
01:57just keep doing it because you can't get better without exposure.
02:01And like the first season that I was a chief stew, I was so stressed.
02:06I would just swim in my own sweat all the time.
02:09I didn't know how to manage the chef.
02:11I didn't know how to manage the girls.
02:13And now I've just been doing it for so long that it's still hard work, but it's not like,
02:18it's not stressful the way it used to be.
02:21Like it's kind of just second nature to me now.
02:23So I just don't really think about it very much.
02:26And then I just walk in and I make myself deal with whatever's right in front of me.
02:29I do want to talk about our friend, Nathan, you know, he had a bumpy season previously,
02:35but he's back to redeem himself.
02:37How do you think he did managing fatherhood with his deck duties?
02:43I think he did as well as anyone can do when it's completely unprecedented,
02:52you know, uncharted territory, because he didn't expect it.
02:55He's never done it before.
02:57None of us have ever done it before.
02:58And I felt so sorry for him.
03:03I could just see it in his face every single day.
03:06Like try, I could see that he was trying so hard to bring himself back and stay present.
03:11But it's just this constant nagging in your mind, especially because Gail was really struggling.
03:17You know, she found it extremely difficult.
03:19Her best friend ended up flying over to help her for a little while.
03:22And so when you know that this person that you love is struggling and your baby,
03:27your like baby that you love more than anything is like a seven minute drive away.
03:31And you're doing an often monotonous job.
03:34Like I, I don't, I just couldn't do that.
03:36That's why I'm like, if I want to have babies, I've got to leave below deck.
03:39Because I'm, I just, it's too hard to juggle that.
03:43So yeah, you know, I think he could have been more focused.
03:46Just, um, he could have been more focused a lot of the time.
03:49But I also, I think he came in with the, truly with the intention of trying his best.
03:55And no one knew how it was going to go.
03:57And do you think it was helpful for him to have Gail and Caden so close by?
04:01Or do you think it just added to that distraction?
04:04I absolutely adore him.
04:06We have found a place seven minutes away from the marina.
04:09I want to see them whenever I'm down.
04:11Are you excited?
04:12Daddy's going to start his new job.
04:13I actually don't know how I'm going to leave.
04:15That's a really good question.
04:18Because part of me, now that you say that, part of me does think it might have been better
04:22if they just stayed in Sydney.
04:24And he didn't know that they were so close.
04:27Because it's like, it's like if you're doing a diet and you keep taking your lunch break
04:32outside of the pizza shop, you know, and it's like right there.
04:36And all you want to do is eat it.
04:37So it probably, it might have been better.
04:40But I do understand the rationale and the thinking of thinking it would make things easier.
04:45Joe Bradley is back as well.
04:47And the tension between him and Nathan is uncomfortable right off the bat.
04:53Hello, how are you?
04:54I'm good.
04:56How did you navigate that?
05:04I could not believe, because I've just watched the first episode and I obviously don't see
05:09everything that's going on.
05:11Like most things that are going on because I'm so busy myself.
05:13But just watch the first episode.
05:15I couldn't believe how much attitude Joe was giving Nathan right off the bat.
05:21Like straight away.
05:22It's like, yes, Nathan's a little shit.
05:24We know that.
05:25He can be like, he's not great at managing his team with like the appropriate language
05:31and stuff.
05:31But when someone is your boss, I would give it like minimum three charters before I started
05:39like getting my back up and giving a bit of lip back.
05:41But Joe, he just leaps straight into it.
05:45And then Nathan retaliating with being like, well, I'm not going to make him lead deckhand.
05:51I'm like, oh, my God, it's just two little boys fighting it out.
05:57But I think you did the right thing.
06:00I think trying to stay neutral, trying to be there for each of them.
06:05Because both of them, like both of them do have such positives.
06:09And they, you know, they're both not bad guys.
06:12Yes, they've both got areas that they need to grow in.
06:15But Joe, Nathan is a great guy.
06:18He's a great bosun.
06:19Joe is really good at his job.
06:21And they've both always treated me really well.
06:24So I'm like, just because you two have this weird thing going on, I don't want to get
06:28myself involved in it.
06:29I've got enough on my plate running my interior.
06:32You've got three stews this season, which is great.
06:36But I have to wonder, is it a relief or a headache to have that many hands?
06:43Oh, my God, relief, relief.
06:47Like, I, this is all I've ever wanted.
06:51This is what I've been begging for every season.
06:54And I finally got it.
06:55And it was so nice.
06:57Because since they were all, they were all really capable.
07:00And so, you know, they had their own internal dramas.
07:03But they were all reasonably capable.
07:06And to have enough, to have the amount of hands that I actually require for that work,
07:13it made it so manageable that then I actually fell in love with my job again.
07:18And I would get really excited when guests were coming and we were about to pick them
07:22up because I was like, yay, I can't wait to do this for them.
07:25So, no, it was, and I've done it for enough seasons now where I feel like I am getting
07:30very good at managing girls and boundaries and not letting people misbehave.
07:37So, yeah, I think I managed it pretty well.
07:40It was definitely more of a relief than not.
07:42Well, and the only reason I added that headache part is because it seems like our girl, Jen,
07:48is having a little bit of growing pains that first charter.
07:51I've put way too much of my life into this to be taking direction, direction from a f***ing
07:58green stew.
08:01I've never tolerated it on any of my boats.
08:03I'm sure as well I'm not going to tolerate it now.
08:05Oh my, again, same with how I was so shocked with Joe and how quickly he started.
08:11I could not believe how quickly Jen started, like, bagging off about how talented she is
08:19or whatever.
08:19There are so many egos on this boat, which egos don't go well in yachting.
08:24And again, even if you did feel like you were being hard done by, A, it's way too soon to
08:31tell that.
08:32Like, it's been one dinner.
08:34But B, even if you've really felt like that was the truth, again, wouldn't you give it,
08:39like, three charters before you started getting your back up or saying little things?
08:43Like, to go and call her mum straight away?
08:47I was like, man, that girl has got some growing to do.
08:50Nick Jonas recently said that the Below Deck...
08:54Oh, he did it!
08:55He's...
08:56Nick Jonas said that Below Deck is his favourite reality TV franchise.
09:00But I just find it to be so entertaining, but Below Deck is my favourite.
09:04I would be fired in the first day, but I would just want to be there.
09:07Do you think he'd make a better deckhand or a better stew?
09:12I think that he would make a better stew because Nick Jonas is from the performing music background.
09:18And the best...
09:19The number one thing that sticks with guests is entertaining them.
09:22So I would love to have him on my interior team entertaining the crowd.
09:27I think he's ready to sign up, Aisha.
09:29Well, come on!
09:30Come and put your squad on and see what we can do!
