President Donald Trump delivered his first public reaction after a U.S. Army Apache helicopter went down near the Strait of Hormuz amid heightened tensions involving Iran. Trump said the pilots were safe and unharmed, while U.S. officials confirmed both crew members were rescued and are in stable condition. Authorities are investigating what caused the incident, with no official determination yet on whether hostile fire was involved. The episode comes as diplomatic efforts continue alongside regional military tensions, keeping global attention focused on one of the world's most strategically important waterways.

00:00There's a report that an army helicopter went down on the street.
00:03Can you give us an update on that? Are the soldiers okay?
00:07The pilots are fine, yeah.
00:09And what's the president? Nobody injured.
00:12We are going to issue a report tomorrow.
00:14Mr. President, what did you say to Prime Minister Netanyahu?
00:18We had a very good conversation, and he was hit, and he hit back.
00:23And I can't blame him for that.
00:25But he was hit, he hit back, and now they've called it quits.
00:29So they're going to just leave each other alone for another week or something.
00:36It's been going on for a long time.
00:39You could say about 3,000 years, if you really would.
00:43But certainly it's been going on for 47 years.
00:46But, no, he hit back.
00:49They were going back and forth, and now they've both agreed, through me, to stop.
00:53And we're in the final throes of what will be a very, very good deal
00:58that will not allow in any way, shape, or form nuclear weapons, et cetera.
01:03And the strait will open up right away.
01:05It'll open up immediately upon signing, which could be in two or three days.
01:09Did you ask them not to hit back?
01:11Did you ask them not to hit back?
01:11No, I said do what's right.
01:13But I want you to stop as quickly as you can, because they have to stop.
01:19It's had to do with Lebanon, and it has to stop.
01:22We want to get it finished.
01:24There's a report that an army helicopter went down on the strait.
01:27Can you give us an update on that?
01:29Are the soldiers okay?
01:31The pilots are fine, yeah.
01:33And what's that?
01:34Nobody injured.
01:35Is that what brought it down?
01:37We are going to issue a report tomorrow.
01:39But the pilots are fine, yeah.
01:42Sir, did you just say two or three days, or two or three weeks?
01:46Two or three days.
01:47You'll be signing a peace agreement?
01:48No, no.
01:49We have a good chance of doing it.
01:51We should be able to do it in one hour, if you want to know the truth.
01:54What's the biggest sticking point right now?
01:56I don't think there are any sticking points.
01:58I think we're very close to having a very, very good, strong, powerful deal.
02:07If we go and bomb, which we can do very easily if we want,
02:11and we spend another two or three weeks bombing,
02:13they'll have nothing left whatsoever.
02:15But you won't have the straight open for months.
02:18If we do the bombing, you know, a lot of people are going to be killed.
02:21Who wants to do that?
02:22I don't.
02:23And we'll get, we'll have a signed document that's actually stronger than doing the bombing.
02:28What has proven to be a very powerful thing is the blockade.
02:33The blockades turned out to be much stronger than bombing.
02:36And it was really a combination.
02:38It was our initial thrust and then the blockade.
02:42But, you know, their economy is really suffering and they're going to make a deal.
02:46So, did you sit tonight, did you go and talk about the Penn Station, the Penn Station project at all?
02:53They are talking about it.
02:55We're trying to get the Penn Station project approved.
02:59And I know Lee's involved and Doug is involved.
03:03A lot of people are involved.
03:04It's a very big project.
03:06It's the rail station in New York.
03:09Well, you're sitting with Mr. Goldberg tonight.
03:11Did you and him talk about it at all?
03:13We did.
03:13We talked about it.
03:14He's a friend of mine for a long time.
03:16And he's a great guy.
03:17He's done a fantastic job.
03:19Secretary Duffy was also at the game.
03:21What did you and Commissioner Silver talk about?
03:22He came over to pay his respects, you know, as president.
03:25He came over.
03:27And we talked a little bit about the NBA and about the game and the game has changed.
03:32I said, it's gotten rougher, which is a good thing, not a bad thing.
03:36It's gotten rougher.
03:37When you look at the way they guard people now, I don't remember them doing that 10 years ago.
03:43And he knows a lot about basketball, but it's good.
03:48It's good for the game.
03:49It's a tougher game.
03:51Do you think the NBA has turned away from the left-wing stuff that they were getting criticized for?
03:53Well, it's a little left-wing.
03:55I think so.
03:56It tends to be a little bit left-wing, but it's great entertainment.
04:00It's great.
04:00Is there an oil or gasoline price in this conflict that would prompt you to release more from this strategic
04:06controlling result?
04:07Well, we are, and we are releasing more from a lot of oils coming out of the Hormuz Strait.
04:13A lot of it is coming out.
04:15And if you notice, the price is not very high, relatively speaking.
04:20I mean, it's lower than during the Biden administration.
04:23And he wasn't stopping a country from having a nuclear weapon.
04:26He didn't even know what we were talking about because they had a very failed, you know, the JCPOA was
04:32an absolutely failed agreement.
04:35There was a road to a nuclear weapon.
04:37See, we're the exact opposite.
04:39We are a road to absolutely no nuclear weapon.
04:43They were a road to a nuclear weapon.
04:45So we have that, you know, we're very far advanced.
