00:00What is important for us, as I always say, is that it is not a question of protecting Taiwan or

00:06of assisting Taiwan, yes or no.

00:07It is a question that if ever China attacks Taiwan,

00:12all the interests of France, of Europe, of the United States, of Japan will be affected.

00:20So Taiwan will be very bad, but you will not be better,

00:25because we have a war of energy, and Taiwan makes in general 70% of the world,

00:33and for the most sophisticated, it is more than 95%,

00:36and when it is liable to the artificial intelligence, it is 100%.

00:41In addition to that, every year, there are more of 60 000 containers

00:45who naviguent, who travel the Detroit of Formos.

00:50It is three times the containers who traverse the canal Suez,

00:55three times the containers, again, who traverse the canal Panama.

00:59So you can imagine, if China attacks Taiwan or even makes a blocus around Taiwan,

01:19and it is an interest that concerns our common future.

01:24I believe that it is the most important.

01:25It is not just simply to imagine,

01:28we are there to help the world, we are not able to do it.

01:30Why is France going to protect Taiwan?

01:33We have never been a territory of French.

01:36Why should France do that?

01:38But France has very important interests in the region.

01:41France is a Indo-Pacific country.

01:43So we also see that now,

01:46more and more than France,

01:48when France does it,

01:50or Europe,

01:51it is not only France,

01:51but Germany,

01:53it is the same.

01:53I believe that for most countries,

01:56the world,

01:57when the power of the world,

01:59when the power of the world makes a discussion at the summit,

02:02the stability of the region is very often indicated,
