Dioslinda Deluvio awaits news of her son's fate on June 9, 2026 after being trapped in one of the buildings that collapsed during the deadly 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Mindanao on June 8. Emergency responders dig through the rubble of collapsed buildings in the city of General Santos, searching for the more than a dozen people still missing. The quake hit the southern Philippines, killing at least 41 people, according to provincial authorities.
